In late 2022 we had the misfortune of our in-foundation home pipes bursting. This caused a lot of damage, and during the plumbing re-pipe, we discovered black mold in our home's two bathrooms. Fortunately, our bathrooms were a blast from the past with a 90's vibe, and we've been wanting to renovate them since purchasing our house.

This led us to decide to move ahead of schedule with redoing the two bathrooms in our house this past spring. We opted to go with a hardcore total gut and renovation using high quality material instead of an inexpensive "bath fitter" sort of job considering we wanted top quality finishes we can enjoy for years to come. Toward this, we sought out an experienced designer to oversee our project noting the time and effort to select and source material, create a coherent space, and ensure everything was done right would require way more time and effort than we wanted to allocate to our renovation. So, after reviewing some area designers on Google, we found Amy Lou Interiors and arranged a consultation.

From the very beginning, Amy and her team proved professional, responsive, and enthusiastic about our project. I was a little hesitant, at first, to contact such an esteemed designer considering our house is modest (as was our budget), but Amy, Tori, Athena, and everyone else proved to be encouraging and excited to help transform our bathrooms into the tropical spa oasis we sought.

After initial consultation, Amy and her team had us complete an online selection where we identified different styles we preferred based on photos of different rooms. After this, she clearly understood the type of style we liked, even identifying our color preferences without our even sharing such. Thereafter, we received updates about potential fixtures, tiles, and options for our bathrooms with easy to understand "style boards" we could review and approve. Amy was accommodating of some special requests, too. For example, our on-suite bathroom had a ceiling fan (for whatever odd reason?) that we wanted replaced with a chandelier. Amy found a fabulous chandelier to fit the space and give it a wow factor.

Throughout the process, Amy and her team remained mindful of our budget and let us know what was and was not realistic. For example, she was able to find some remnant tiles for our smaller bathroom that look luxurious yet as remnants saved us quite a bit. I appreciate how she kept our budget in mind and updated us whenever anything might be a bit more costly than anticipated. Of note to anyone renovating - remember, you almost always run into some unexpected things that nudge the budget up, so factor that in your initial estimates!

As the renovation progressed, Amy Lou Interiors provided me with frequent updates and billed via installments. I was always notified of upcoming charges and provided detailed explanation for everything. I found Amy's rates reasonable, and her style choices perfectly suiting what we sought.

The renovation was a long process - almost two months! But, I am very happy now that we have two beautiful new bathrooms that rival many luxury spas and hotels I've been to. I can't wait to enjoy our new soaker tub, too.

In sum, if you are seeking a designer and team to help transform all or part of your home's interior, absolutely do not hesitate to contract with Amy Lou Interiors. I had the "HGTV experience" with Amy and her team where they took our bathrooms from stale and dated to upscale and sophisticated. Not only am I a very satisfied client - I'll be looking forward to working with Amy and the team again in the next year or so when it's time to renovate the rest of our home's interior and make it beautiful!

Thank you Amy, Tori, Athena, and all!

Amy is a rock star! She has an innate ability to understand the vision and style of her client in order to create a space that evokes that personal style and vibe. From our initial consultation until the final accessory found its place, Amy and her team fostered a collaborative environment, valuing my opinion toward our final goal. With her eye for detail, her creativity and impeccable style, she transformed my home to a space that surpassed my wildest expectations. Beyond her exceptional talent, Amy's warmth, passion, and genuine enthusiasm made the entire process a delight. I highly recommend Amy for any and all of your decorating needs!

I love Amy. I hired her to do my first job for me staging a vacant home that I was listing probably 10 years ago. She's got such a great eye for design and is a total professional. You will be knocked out by her ideas. You can thank me later!

How can a person who has no taste do interior design? Calling yourself a designer is quackery and deception. It's not worth paying for such a job at all, But this lady has a very large one. Although by and large she is not a designer. She doesn't have an understanding of how to do this job. Don't waste your time, it's better to find a professional in your field. Don't mess with this woman and her company

Good day to all. I wanted to share my experience with an American company. The experience is sad, our team threw money away. I just stupidly stopped paying for work done within two weeks. There was no agreement, only in words. The man had previously paid regularly, but now he refused, and with threats he stupidly denied us access to the object; we cannot even take the entire tool. I understand that we will not receive our money and our instruments. I don’t see the point in spending time and money on evidence in courts without paying attention to papers. I can say one thing: don’t make our mistakes, don’t get involved with this company. America must know its "heroes" by sight

I’ll tell you my story of cooperation with this family team. On various social networks, they make accusations and spread false information that is not relevant to the case. There was a facility where workers were invited to perform a certain list of work, but at the last moment, when it was necessary to pay money for the amount of work performed, threats, screams and accusations rained down. During the work period, no one controlled or organized the work, did not monitor the work process, and some kind of unfounded dissatisfaction constantly arose. If the customer does not like the progress of the work, he stops the work and pays money for the volume completed, and on this people disagree. Everything is fair or monitors the progress of work and makes amendments. Everything was in words, no contracts were concluded. But if everything was so bad, then why did no one stop the work, no one made any complaints about the quality of services, and in the end, when it was necessary to pay wages to the employees, this was not done. He is also smart enough to mention God to justify his dirty deeds. These people do not know what humanity and decency are, that any work must be paid, and if there are comments about them, then they need to be talked about and the problem solved, because this is construction work and there can be many nuances. We heard from their partners that this is not the first time that this family has not paid money to the workers it hired. To increase their rating, they ask their employees to write positive reviews in the comments. Reputation can be easily lost. Maybe you just need to be decent people and not just appear to be, then you won't have to ask people to complain about reviews to save your reputation.
