My two friends and I thoroughly enjoyed an extensive, personal tour lead by Daniel. We were all so very impressed with his knowledge of Amelia Island's history and his enthusiasm. I believe I can honestly say it was one of, if not THE, best tours I've ever taken! I HIGHLY recommend this tour of the history of Amelia Island!

I have lived in Fernandina Beach for 35 years and I just recently went on my first island tour with Amelia Island Historical Tours. Let me tell you, it was amazing! I thought I knew a lot about Amelia Island/Fernandina, but what I discovered is that I knew facts about our island, but I didn’t know the historical details or why things happened as they did. This was what made this tour so impressive. Some of you may know Daniel and if so I’m sure you will agree with me that he is the most personable and knowledgeable tour guide ever! He helped me make the connections of what and why things happened as they did on Amelia Island in relation to what was going on in Florida history, United States history and World history! Not only does he really know his history and can answer any question, but he also made the 90 minute Eight Flags Tour fun! I also hear that he is fabulous on the Historical Home Tour and that the other tour guides are also great. There was never a dull or boring moment with Daniel! He kept us entertained with his unique storytelling expertise and helped bring the history of Amelia Island to life. In addition, the tour van was comfortable and the complimentary adult beverages were a nice bonus! I have been on many different tours in my travels and I can honestly say that this tour, right here in my hometown, was the absolute BEST!!! I just wanted to share this, because I predict many local residents are like me and have never been on this tour. It would be a wonderful tour to take with your family, friends, out of town guests, work groups, or even by yourself. Now I know why the Amelia Island Historic Tours was awarded Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best in 2023! 🏆 👏

My mom and I had a great and very informative tour with our guide, Daniel. It was a very cold day and we were the only two on the tour. Daniel was very nice to continue on with the tour for us. We learned a lot about the history of the area and about the historic houses. If you want to learn about the area, Daniel is your guy. Plus it was fun to sip on some complimentary wine while we toured 🙂

We tried to see the sights on our own but had trouble driving and sightseeing. We booked tours with historic tours and we had the most amazing tour and guide we have ever had. Daniel Daly was passionate informative and a great storyteller. Air conditioned van was a welcome relief from the extreme heat. We plan to come back to see Daniel and Amelia Island

We had a delightful Historic Home tour with Captain Carol at the helm! She was super friendly and informative about so, so much history, background and local knowledge related to the families and success stories that made Amelia Island a bustling commercial success! We loved Carol and you will too! We even had a little beverage to accompany our experience. Daniel, who was so helpful in moving things around to create our booking was very affable and understanding and you”ll love his accent! I highly recommend this tour experience!

We had such a great morning on our 8 flags tour! Daniel was so knowledgeable about the history of Amelia Island. My husband loves history, me not so much, but Daniel made it fun and told in such a way that I was hooked! The homes are beautiful and we learned so much more about the island that we would have on our own. I highly recommend this tour!! Enjoy Amelia Island… we did!!

This tour is fantastic. Our group of 7 took the van for the historic Tour. Daniel, our Tour Guide, was amazing. He knew everything about the history of Amelia Island and much more. He made it sound exciting and alive. His sense of humor matched his enthusiasm for history. This is a must do if you are in Amelia Island.
