Stop in and visit. Heather helped us map out our short stay in Alpine and the surrounding area. She was so helpful, kind and friendly. Her personal love of the area shows. Go in and find out what the internet just may not know. The kind of things you learn by talking with knowledge experienced local people who are there because they want your experience to be great.

Visitor center that is well decorated and maintained. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They guided me based on my itinerary. And how to be well prepared for the big bend national park trip.

It is places like this that make the trips easy and planned.

We couldn’t be more thankful to Laura who was the person in charge when we went to the visitors center. She really wanted to let us know what we could do in our time visit and was so very helpful! We didn’t intend to spend a lot of time in this town but she gave us so many interesting approaches that we finally stayed much longer than we wanted to. We loved the town so much we will come back! That was a five star-experience!

Was closed just after four pm. You should know that food service is very lacking in Alpine. Forget Chinease Buffet. Diner closed, New place outside of town was very expensive, walked out. Didn't want carry out pi,za or fast food. Had great Mexican in a little house. Other places closed?
