Had a wonderful trip floating the river.
Our guide was fantastic and humorous. There weren't many rapids and the ones we had were small and mild enough that we took grandma with us to float the river. We fully enjoyed our river float trip and saw many eagles along the way.
The raft and gear were in good shape.
We felt completely at ease.
We noticed that Alaska River Adventures also does float fishing trips. We've decided we'll be back to do a fishing expedition.

Did the half day float trip. Had a great time! It was about 2.5 hrs on the water. We did the early trip. Very peaceful and gentle floating. A few small areas with “faster” water, but vast majority of the trip was just floating along. The guide did all the rowing for us. Saw 20-25 eagles (best part!), other birds and salmon. No bear or moose. They give everyone waterproof boots and pants, and I think they also provide rain coats if you don’t have one. It was pretty cold on the water that morning even though the temperature that day was in the 60’s. I wore a long sleeve shirt, light fleece jacket, light rain coat, jeans, wool socks and hiking shoes. Don’t forget sunscreen. No bugs! It was beautiful. Take your binoculars and water, too.

Aidan was everything you hope for in a guide - chill, full of fun facts, and great at navigating the raft. Plus, he gets bonus points for being raised in Alaska since most seasonal employees aren’t from the state.
He answered everyone’s questions and made sure we were all comfortable throughout the trip. Despite the cold and rainy weather, he kept everyone upbeat with his sunny personality and stories.
During the 2-mile hike out at the end, he told us about the local berries and how to be bear aware.
We saw lots of eagles, jumping salmon, a grizzly bear, mergansers, and beautiful fireweed on the shore. It was a relaxed float trip and hopefully he’ll get his mom to join him on the river before the season is over.

Phenomenonal half-day float on the Kenai. Couldn't wish for better weather. Our guide was new but handled the boat like a boss and provided us a chill ride down stream. No bears or moose appeared but we did see 13 eagles. Great way to end vacation.

The float down the river was very scenic and we saw a lot of eagles. Our guide was very informative.

Great outfitter. They have permits for the sanctuary section which very few people have and it’s very regulated. It’s an amazing spot to fish and we caught a bunch. We went the day after the Kenai opened. The boats and equipment were top notch. Our guide Lucas was very knowledgeable, on top of everything, gave great advice and was relaxed and enjoyable/ fun to spend the day with. Ty, the owner is very nice and accommodating and runs a great company. Will do many more trips with them again. Highly recommend!

We had a great river float. At first I kinda felt dumb getting into the rain gear it was a beautiful 70F day but once on the river it was not overkill. Our float captain was friendly and mostly knowledgeable. It was her first year and one of the first floats. But she had clearly been trained well and pointed out a lot of things. I would not hesitate to recommend this trip to someone.

A great way to spend a beautiful Sunday morning in Alaska. My wife and I were the only ones booked on the 9 a.m. half day (3 hour) float, so we had the raft to ourselves. Hannah (sp?) from Utah did a great job sharing her knowledge of the Kenai River and surrounding mountains while swapping stories of our adventures while keeping us on course. No Alaskan mammal moments but plenty of birds and including many bald eagles. Unexpectedly peaceful float, even with the mini rapids. Great rates for Cooper Landing. Bring layers, a dry bag for your camera equipment, and cash to tip your guide.
