Although we couldn't camp here for the Mammoth March hiking event (stayed at Little Manatee River State Park which is really nice too!) the trails did not disappoint. You can see just about every terrain and feature Florida has to offer here. The 20 mile hike just about killed us (🤣), but the place is quite beautiful. Looking forward to booking a site and exploring the place without a competition time crunch.

Went for a run, got a little lost and ended up on a hiking trail but I ran through there like a jack rabbit! So fun and pretty! I even came across a friendly armadillo. Love this park, has like 20 miles of all types of terrain trails.

They charged 5$ for 1 vehicle with 2 passengers state park website says it’s 4$. It’s a long walking park try to snap all trail guide maps when you pass by. It’s quite hard to get back to parking lot if you miss. Fountain drinking water is not soft try bringing your own . Rental bikes are highly priced 25$ for 1 hour and 5$ for hand grouse and helmet.

beautiful park with lots of wildlife. it can get a bit confusing on the trails, and there is no official ‘hiking map’ , just a map for mountain bike trails. eventually you come across a crossroad that can be difficult to continue your trail. i’d say if it had better signage/markings, it would be 5 stars.

If you like hard trail biking this is the place for you. Yes they have a campground but no it's not a real campground. They are paved sites with no woods covering anything and a common bathroom. This is meant for hiking and biking and that's it

First time here - love it!!!! But….
There are a few very serious potholes on the LAL loop. Some of them you just can’t miss. If you could please get these fixed, the there will be a five star review. Even if you drive slow, these potholes can cause serious damage! The pictures show the holes between #16 and #23, I missed the one at #15 and there are 3 more until you get out of this loop.
Other than that it’s a wonderful place to recharge ones minded batteries and recoup your body and soul.
