The tour was totally inexpected! I thought to visit only the Dracula Castle but thanks to Vali I quickly understood, that that's just a touristic attraction. He offered to go by the off roads to experience off the beaten path villages and that was the best decision to take. I loved the experience going through the living postcard. The guide Vali is supper knowledgable and trip with him is like traveling with a good friend. Highly recommended!

We returned a few days ago from a trip in the Carpathians with Vali. Eight amazing days.
Before we left, we debated how to hike: a self-guided trip with a rental car and a built-in GPS-enabled tablet program, versus a trip with a local guide / driver. We decided in favor of a trip with a guide, which was more expensive. We then looked for guides in various forums, and talked to some, whom we had read recommendations about.
Vali offered to build a route especially for us. According to him, since it was a busy season, the "ordinary" route will be overcrowded by tourists, and therefore suggested a different one. We went along with him, and I must say we were not sorry for a single minute. Some parts of the route he was making were also new to him, so the trip was exciting for him as well.
1. Vali is a pleasant, knowledgeable, flexible and experienced man. He knew how to answer in depth any question we asked, explained when he saw it as necessary, and on the other hand, did not burden the information that did not interest us. As others wrote before me, at the end of the trip we felt that we had acquired a friend.
2. Vali has a car with unbelievable capability of passing through mud, rocks and other hard terrains, and he operates it professionally. The route that he had built for us was interesting and beautiful, and we drove there alone.
3. When we discovered that we were not far from my father's hometown, he changed course, found someone who had connected us with the old teacher of the village, and organized a very interesting meeting. When we encountered attractions along the way (for example, when we saw a man descending on an Omega across the valley), we turned around and did not skip it.
4. The trip took place at a pace that suited us. We always left after an excellent breakfast, which he prepared. At noon we opened a folding table in the middle of nowhere, and had lunch, which could include bar-B-cued meat on coals he had organized in minutes, and in the evenings, same as the mornings, perfect dinner wherever we stopped.
5. The places Vali chose to sleep in were all amazing. There were no motels or ordinary lodgings, but country houses, some of them aged more than 200 years. All of them clean, tidy, always with warm water, and very, authentic. Places worth returning to.

Valentin is more than a guide if he likes you he will be your friend and will show you the heart of Romania . But if he don't like you he will send you to someone else . He accepte You as a guest and give you what you need and even more . I recommend
