Really needs to be cleaned up and repaired. There are gnats everywhere for some reason. I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. I would hate to see it let go.

Very nice well kept park with plenty to do. Two sets of playground equipment, one older style wooden playground with swings slides and lots of little places for kids to run and crawl through. The other has newer fashioned metal equipment with slides and its own swing sets and monkey bars. The wooden area is floored with a generous layer of sawdust and the metal area is floored with sand. There is also plenty of shade trees here, picnic tables, a pond, soccer field, tennis court, softball field and more. There is even a "Twice the Ice" vendor on the grounds. Definitely worth a stop to visit this park.

My kids love the castle the most but never miss stopping at the sand. Plenty to do from grilling, kites, tennis, running, etc so bring juice and snacks.

Great place for kids. It's also a peaceful place for adults to sit quietly or read.

This place was AWESOME when I was a kid. It still has everything you need to have a great time with the kids, but unfortunately the city has let it fall into a state of such disrepair that it is pretty dangerous. Splinters seem inevitable given how busted up and rotted many of the features are and the landscaping might have been ignored entirely for the last 20+ years.

It's a real shame that they've let it get this bad. It was a crown gem in the parks and rec system. Now it's a dangerous eyesore indicative of the city's unwillingness to invest in the community.
