I was checked in by the receptionist and then proceeded to wait over an hour to try to get my Real ID, even though I had an appointment. Then when it was finally my turn, they let the person after me go, because they hadn’t checked my membership card which had had some glitch. They then said there was nothing they could do. The glitch wasn’t their fault, but they admitted they should have said something about it when I checked in so I didn’t have to wait. So overall, more than an hour wasted, No real ID, and barely an apology for their failure to check me in properly when I arrived. A remarkable example of terrible customer service.

An agent told me I couldn’t exchange British pounds, as I had not bought them through AAA. As a longtime AAA member, I thought I deserved a rationale for the policy. Nope. Gobbledegook was all I got. Classic.

I have never had such a hard time reaching an agent in my life. I have been with AAA for a decade. I decided to switch my insurance to them last summer. I can NEVER reach my agent. I leave messages and no one returns my calls. I have waited on hold for over an hour and still no one answers. It’s insane how you simply cannot reach your agent or any agent at all. It took over a week of calling to speak to a person and they weren’t even helpful or seemed to be able to answer questions about my policy. It’s not acceptable that you can’t reach an agent when you need one.
