I have been a Yelp user for many years and wanted to start off my new profile at the Holiday Inn express in Chico, but was very disappointed… it was a very clean, nice place, but it was staff at front desk that really ruined my stay. it started when I went down and asked for an extra pillow and a bald employee with glasses said he would get me some pillows, which was excellent, but I waited for more than 10 minutes in the lobby, but what was most disturbing was when I went to the front desk and looked around the corner I saw the same bald front desk, employee, kissing another employee, a woman with colored hair and a blue shirt .I requested to speak to a manager after I saw that, but the bald employee claims he was the manager I hope not because that was really unprofessional to see. but at least I got my pillow and breakfast. I would not recommend this place to stay sorry

I had some changes that needed to be done, and you took care of it, no problem. Your welcoming attitude working the Front Desk goes a long way and you definitely put the costomer first. You're doing a great job!!!! Please keep up the good work!!!! It's Front Desk people like you that keep myself and my colleagues returning here when we're working in the area. Great hotel. Location is perfect as everything in town is about a 6 minute drive. Close to a grocery store which is very convenient. The breakfast is fantastic. Would definitely stay again!

The blackout shades are awesome. I have an east-facing window and it was stupendously dark this morning when I awoke (after sunrise). I was very surprised at the amount of light let in when I raised the shade. Wow are they great!||Also, clean, bed is comfy, food is as expected (i.e., I do not expect a gourmet experience from the free breakfast!), staff is friendly, and electric car charging exists and works. What more can you want?

check-in process was fast, staff nice, room was good and clean, breakfast was awesome with two non-meat egg options. Just wish they had more toppings for yogurt.

This is a great hotel to stay at in Chico! The location offers easy access to Winco and a variety of walkable restaraunts and bars. The hotel is clean and the breakfast is tasty. What more could you want?

Positive: The beds are absolutely comfortable!! Breakfast was perfect! Negative: Bathroom floor had some debris leftover from previous occupants. Kind of gross to be honest.

Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Good breakfast -- no Michelin-rated meal, but great for a hotel. Reasonable price. I was very pleased. The beds are comfortable and the little things, like good water pressure in the shower, added a great deal of comfort to a four-night business stay. If you want a walking experience in the downtown area, this is not for you. But if you want a quiet stay in a clean room with nothing in the way of enjoying your trip, this is a good contender.
