If you're looking for a wealth of knowledge, this is where to go. This place has tons of WWII artifacts, a handful of planes, and people who can tell you all about it. I'm very surprised the local schools choose to do field trips to carrot harvesting facilities instead of this museum.

Very interesting museum. The volunteers were well informed and friendly. So much to see here about WW2, Korean War and Vietnam War. It's only open Friday and Saturday. We stayed overnight with Harvest Host membership.

Small air museum that focuses on the history of the former airbase. Once one of the largest training facilities for pilots west of the Mississippi, it is now an unknown small regional airport.

They have an eclectic mix of memborilia from WW1 to the Korean War. They also have a few movie props from movies and a photo of James Dean who stopped there on the same day he tragically crashed.

Their air plane collection is small with 2 trainers and one Vietnam spotter helicopter. Their hanger has a bunch of replica planes and one trainer that has been disassembled to fit in the hanger.

If you're passing by, make sure to stop by and check it out. Drop a $5 donation or more to help keep this place of history alive.

Wonderful WWII Air museum. They have a lot of cool history recorded with a lot of displays and some non-flying aircraft. Visited with Harvest Host membership. Great easy parking for the RV. Nice large, flat, gravel area. The staff was great. Lots of great local stories and history.

This museum is a must to visit. Amazing memories and from WWI to the late 60s.
We came from Australia and Northern California to see the location of the first man powered flight. Very knowledgeable staff/volunteers and great hospitality. Keep up the good work.

What a great find!! Did you know this air field trained over 11,000 war pilots!! Easy access for car or RV, this is a CA must see location! We stayed over night with Harvest Host in our RV. We were given a private tour of the museum which is actually in the original fire station for the air field. “Mike” took us us a tour of the entire air field!! We saw the workshop, original fire truck, hanger and a blimp that is renting space for a month! Plenty of memorabilia, models, uniforms and photos from the history of this base! Great job by the 100% volunteer staff!!

It's a small museum that runs off donations. A very nice docent took me on a private tour. I did learn a few new things including the story of the Flying Aztecs.
