I loved the walk on Dec 7th at 11 am with Katelyn. She was amazing in keeping us engaged with every story. The walk around the Alamo Square and the painted ladies with amazing history was superb. Katelyn was knowledgeable and patiently answered all the questions. We got to go inside the look alike of Adam’s family home too! The owner invited us in and gave us a private tour. He must have heard our city guides stories. Thank you so much Katelyn highly recommend the SF City Guided tours.

I highly recommend San Francisco City Guides tours. I did the downtown tour on a beautiful San Francisco Day with Michelle. She was informative and enthusiastic and an obvious lover of San Francisco. If I lived here, I would take the other tours they offer as well. Thanks for the great tour! Jim

Walking around with Cathy has been a great way to get to know a bit of this neighbourhood and its stories from Beat and Hippie movements and all that was going on in San Francisco before and during the "Summer of Love" with worldwide impact! It was fun and informative, loved the "soundtrack" playing as we moved along! Also got a great tip for a cozy spot for a meal after the tour, thank you and keep up the good work!

Today I attended the Japanese Tea Garden tour with Eric. The one hour experience was a lot more than I anticipated considering the relatively short time we walked through the grounds. I have a deeper appreciation for the struggles the original Japanese residents who designed, built, and cared for the lush grounds encountered. They dealt with discrimination by a hostile U.S. government, but were eventually embraced by local citizens who appreciated their cultural contributions to the city of San Francisco. It was their dedication to the memory of the garden creators that many of the valuable trees and plants were preserved. The pine trees and plants are native to California, not from Japan. It was an amazing experience overall and one that I can now connect to history. Eric did a phenomenal job. I especially appreciated his dry wit and interjection of jokes now and then. It was my first SF guided walking tour, but it won't be my last. Thank you, Eric for the tour!

Japanese Tea Garden and China Town tours.

For our girlfriend's 60th birthday party we took two City Tours. Our first tour was through the Japanese Tea Garden and our guide was Eric. He was enthusiastic and informative, and we thoroughly enjoyed strolling the gorgeous gardens.
Our second tour was through China Town and our guide was Manual. He was also enthusiastic and full of interesting stories. It was captivating learning the history and following the culture of this iconic area of SF.
We learned so much from both of these tours and appreciated the perspectives and expertise of the guides. We would highly recommend.
Thank you again Eric and Manual!

Went on the "ARCHITECTURE DOWNTOWN" tour on a whim, and I was pleasantly surprised! Our tour guide Michelle was very passionate and knowledgeable about the history of downtown SF buildings. My first but definitely not last sfguides walking tour! As the saying goes, best things in life are free.. and this volunteer-run walking tour guide is top notch!

Japanese Tea Garden is a beautiful place within Golden Gate Park. We joined a walking tour organized by SF City Guides which was led by Akiyo. It was a nice experience to enjoy it's beauty with a detailed information on each of it's sections. We could also know a lot about the history of Japanese immigrants in the US.
Thank you Akiyo and SF City Guides.

Absolutely fantastic and incredibly informative—this walking tour was pure brilliance! The energy was amazing, and the guide uncovered so many hidden gems and shared such fascinating details that I fell even more in love with the city. I’m just kicking myself for not doing this sooner! Now I want to go on all the tours!
