This is a wonderful space. The volunteers are very knowledgeable about local history and there are many fascinating artifacts exhibited throughout this charming museum. A must see for any local or visitor to the area. What a great way to spend part of your day. Come explore the beautiful garden area while you are there too. It is a perfect place for a picnic.

Small museum but the building has historical significance. Lots of local history packed into a small space. Camels that were bought years earlier in an effort by the army to find a suitable animal for the dry S. California terrain were sold at this building, hence its nickname “camel barn."

This is one of those under the radar museums that is a must-see. It's truly incredible how much American history is in this little town of Benicia. This Museum has artifacts dating back to the Native Americans, the civil war, and Benicia's place in World War 2. Trust me, you'll learn a lot and come away very impressed!
