Best tour operator ever on Matembwe. Our tour guides are super helpful. The entire trip was very enjoyable. We even saw dolphins. Everything was great except that the boats were all chasing after the dolphins which I feel that they should stay afar and watch the dolphins and give them some space.

If you guys are anywhere on zanzibar island and want to experience the best tour company just contact these guys and they will get you whatever your looking for.

Whenever we went on snorkeling trip and to see dolphins we got to see dolphins where us I have tried others and they r unable to time it well and take us there.

Mixed feelings! We booked the snorkel trip including dolphins with them... I would not repeat the dolphins part as my impression was that there were plenty of boats chasing them, trying to get the tourists as close as possible. Honestly we did not think that through before booking! The snorkeling part was nice, we saw many fish and could take the time we wanted, also they provided fresh fruits! They took a star fish on the boat to bring it to other tourists telling us it could survive several hours like that... The reef unfortunately is dead... We really experienced what tourism is doing to the island, which also affects the tour operators (and is mainly not their fault).

Met the lads from Bella Vistas every day when I stepped on the beach from the Sevi Boutique Hotel. They were extremely friendly, and not overbearing when trying to sell their tours. On our second last day at the resort we booked the snorkeling tour. It was great. We had our own guide, who showed us the different type of fish when in water. It was a great experience and a good value morning.

Something bad, something good.
The good: amazing place, we could take as much time we wanted to snorkel, the fruits were good (ananas, watermelon, banana)
The bad: the dolphin chase is incredibly sad, so many boats clashing into each other, chasing the dolphins very close to them, "forcing" people to jump in to "swim with the dolphins" with all the boats dangerously close to you with engines on is a NO GO. If we would have known we would have not booked that part honestly.
Also, one of the guy on the boat picked two starfish and put them on the boat for circa 30 minutes, only to bring them to another boat so that the customers of that boat could take a photo. We do not know what happened to the starfish but we can imagine it: most of the starfish only last less than 5 minutes without breathing, and even so, the stress of taking one and moving it like this is often fatal on its own. What's worst is that the guy who took it straight up lied to us saying they survive 4 hours.
So all in all: the place is very nice to snorkel but don't expect alive corals. Only dead one but yes there is a nice variety of fishes. The dolphin chase is disgusting, and so was the starfish show.
