Sonia at the front desk is so nice and accomodating! She answered all my questions happily and even showed me a room personally so I could see the accommodations. The room is cold, clean and spacious. Perfect for a hot summer day. The water pressure is great and internet fast. Thank you Sonia for making our stay memorable and pleasant!

After ditching Hilton due to crap service and no long term stay rates.... Candlewood Suites easily become my favorite hotel but, this has absolutely had to be my favorite hotel of all time!!! Great location, great new renovated rooms, and most important of all the staff is absolutely theeeee best!! Tracy, Nancy, and their employees were so amazing to be around it felt like being at home with cool roommate's!! I also love how candlewood continues to be flexible with long term stay rates honestly i don't know why people stay anywhere else as a man that travels over 275 days a year. Kudos candlewood of Decatur you have earned my most favorite hotel ever award!!!!

While the Pleasant and the bed is comfortable, I was disappointed by my stay after reading good reviews. The hotel was outdated, dingy, stains on the carpet in the halls and stairways, the room was decorated like a dorm room instead of a nice hotel, the amenities that were listed online were not available such as the cupboard, there was trash outside on the lawn that wasn’t picked up within the whole four days I was there.
It was more like staying in a hospital room with a very small bathroom. The kitchen was small and outdated compared to the Hamptons Inn around the corner where I stayed the last time.
It seemed like the hotel staff knew that this wasn’t the best property, but couldn’t do much about it. The lighting was very institutional and depressing.
It was annoying to be charged an early check-in fee when the room was already available. The staff said that the computer wouldn’t let them do it because it would’ve added a day.
The experience has turned me off of Candlewood suites as a whole for any future trips.

Room was super nice and clean. Cold, cold AC. But Sonia at the front desk was the best. She was really helpful and recommended places to eat in town.

They have almost finished the revamp of this hotel, I stay here several times a year. new rooms are nicely done and a big improvement over the old ones. The pantry was not in operation for our stay, not a problem for us.

For some unknown reason, my reservation was a bit messed up, showing a stay of 8 days instead of the 2 I booked (via IHG website. Front desk lady did a good job of getting it straightened out.

The hotel stay was amazing. The staff was able to accommodate me after booking the wrong date. The online booking was painful, and I will not book online again. Accidentally booked the wrong day for my stay. Tried to change reservations online but wouldn't let me. After speaking with the online rep, she told me I can just book the correct date with her and I will get reimbursement for my previous booking. Wrong, I ended up paying for both, luckily I had enough points to cover one of the stays.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Candlewood Suites in Decatur, TX. I was able to wind down comfortably and store plenty of things in the full-size fridge. The bed was comfortable, and I slept well. I love the location as it is close to a hospital, several restaurants, and the city center town square is three minutes away.
