We took the Church Island kayak tour. Our guide was exceptional. He was so knowledgeable on the history and wildlife. Taking the time to show us the different dragonfly instars and local fish species. We were lucky enough to get to see 4 alligators. I will be booking this tour again. I 1000% percent recommend this company!

My wife and I recently retired to the Lo country coming from NY. We love spending time outdoors biking , hiking and fishing. Kayaking was not anything we had experienced. After attending an informational presentation by Ed and Deb we decided to give it a try. We have now done two tours with Blueway and will certainly do more. Blueway emphasizes safety and uses excellent kayaking equipment for their tours. The tours are at a comfortable pace , very beautiful and informative. If you want to spend a few relaxing hours, give this a try .

Ed was our guide and was very informative and if you listen to his directions you will be paddling in no time.

This was our 1st time ever in a Kayak. Getting in and out of a kayak can be tricky but after you are in the water it is easy. Ed took it easy on us newbies. It was definitely a fun family adventure. Can't wait to return.

Absolutely incredible! From start of booking to leaving, we had an incredibly easy and fun time working with Deb and Ed. Ed is a conservationist who is absolutely passionate about nature and has been kayaking the rivers around Charleston for, from what I remember, about 500 years. Our group of 4 took two tandem kayaks on the Wadboo River with 4 other people riding singles. Nobody was left out of the conversations or felt like they were ignored. Detailed tour of dozens of spots on the river, pointed out some of the favorite bird nesting spots, some gorgeous trees, and keep the group relaxed and excited the whole trip. Very calm pace that let everyone row at their leisure. I can't say enough good things about this experience! Will be stopping by with them every time we're in Charleston!

If you can, definitely pick Ed as your tour guide. He is incredibly informative, ask him any question, from water depth, riptide, and fish, all the way to plants, animals, and history. He knows everything! He was super safe and helpful. Ed definitely knows what he is doing. Not to mention the beautiful area we kyaked through. Definitely recommend.

Ed guided us through the rice fields along Quimby Creek. He described the history of rice growing in the area and pointed out remnants of barges and locks. His knowledge as a naturalist is extensive. He entertained us with tales of his adventures with alligators and other creatures. My grandson was testy at times and Ed was very patient with him. Blueway Adventures has great up-to-date equipment. A very enjoyable afternoon.
