LIke other reviewers, we had a good stay at the Hampton Inn in Clark Summit just north of Scranton. Our main goal was to ski and this hotel is about half way between Elk Mountain and Montage.||Hampton Inns have a reputation of being slightly upmarket from your budget highway hotel and this location lived up to that reputation. The rooms were clean, well equipped, and had nice queen beds. The breakfast was nicer than typical, although it would be nice if they switched to reusable plates. The staff was very friendly even when busy. There is an indoor pool that families were happily using, although we did not have time to check it out. There are several restaurants both chain and independent along Route 11. Ear plugs are provided and are helpful as Route 11 does have some truck traffic.||My only knock is that they offered everyone bottled water at check-in and check-out, which seems like an awful waste of single use plastic. The tap water tasted fine and I'm not sure why bottled water was always being offered.||One weird final note - this hotel sits in the direct shadow of one of the largest bridges on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. The hotel is four-five stories tall and the bridge towers over it at 15 stories in height. If you get weird fears you might get the willies that a truck way up on the bridge is going to careen off the edge and come smashing into the hotel. This is basically impossible, but nevertheless wanted to point that out.

Great place to stay outside of Scranton, near the 81 / Turnpike interchange. There's a Tully's next door for food. The room was spacious, clean, newly renovated, and quiet. Would definitely stay again. This offers great value and a great location. The included free breakfast was suprisingly good and just added to the overall good vibes of the place.

The hotel is good, the issue that we had at this time was the persons that works at the hotel.
First, we are with a team that has stayed in that hotel for over 6 years and we never had a small complaint about our kids and then last night the staff decided that the lobby for guests closes at 10pm, B.S. no lobby closes!!!
The first incident happened when the front desk staff, Theresa, came to me very aggressively and treated me to invite our family out of the hotel because some kid was loud laughing at the hallway after 10pm.
Ok.... First.. kids are happy, they will laugh and enjoy a stay in the hotel with friends.
Second... Wasn't my kids!!!!! So, no inquiries to find out what kid was doing what not supposed to do.... Laughing!!!
Then, the approach she had with me was not acceptable, there is a difference between knowing how to talk and coming to somebody aggressively and with lost of composure.
At the lobby, we had a small celebration for my daughter for her 15th birthday, after that, around 9:50, the staff manager approached us and let us know that Lobby would be closed at 10pm.... Really.... When in the history of the planet a hotel lobby closes?
Guests can't sit down and relax in a small group conversation?
We, as a group, are very disappointed with the hotel treatment they gave to us at this time. The impression that we have is for some reason the staff is not prepared professionally to handle a large group. Not at this time!

Came to check in here for work the First Lady spoke to super rude and snotty, all cause I said I need to change hiltons honors number. Veryyyy dismissive with an attitude that I’m not paying for the room, I don’t get the points. All I said was that’s weird no other Hilton has ever said that and I have always been allowed to change the honors number. Immediately she acted like I was arguing and went and got her manager to come out, like I was the problem. Then they both treated me like I was the problem although I was SUPER friendly when I walked in. Then tried to charge me a room deposit, again I said, this isn’t normal why are you charging me. Again I was met with she’s just doing her job and you can insert your card here. I said I don’t understand if I’m just trying to understand why I’m being charged saying this isn’t normal and if you don’t want to give me the information how can I have this fixed. THEN she told me it’s because my boss didn’t check a box on authorization, I said see that helps now I can call him to check the box. Me simply saying this isn’t normal shouldn’t be a problem. I came in here super friendly merely asking what the issue is on why I can’t change honors number, WHY I am being charged. If the First Lady had just been friendly and just answered my questions nicely without bringing in the Second Lady it wouldn’t have been a problem at all. I have NEVER had an issue at any hotel and I literally travel for work and long before I traveled for work.

Then the First Lady acted like she wasn’t the problem to play victim to the first. If you want snotty and not professional come here all day, if you want friendly, helpful and professional stay away.

Hands down, this hotel is one of the best experiences I've had. The staff is responsive, sweet, and check-in was a breeze. The hotel itself has COMFORTABLE beds, quiet rooms, excellent bathrooms and the pool/gym/laundry facilities are all clean and perfect. The breakfast is delightful, and it's nice that the warm options do vary from day to day. Can't say enough positives about the Hampton Inn Clarks Summit. Kudos to the GM, she runs a happy, tight ship!

Out of all the locations, Hilton has the offer in this area. This location is the best. Your room is cleaned and taken care of daily. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. The lovely young lady that runs breakfast service in the morning is outstanding
And is always smiling. Giving at the front desk is very welcoming.
I have hit several of your local restaurants and advised the manager that Her staff would benefit from having knowledge and relationships with some of these restaurants. The gym is open till midnight.But the pool closes at twelve I do wish the pool would stay open till twelve as well.

Positive: The hotel was extremely clean. The breakfast had fresh cut up fruit and freshly made oatmeal. Negative: A minor issue: the hotel is pet friendly but there?s no place to walk the dog other than the parking lot.

This was the cleanest hotel we’ve ever stayed at. Not even questionable spots on the sheets. Brand new mattresses bc we make sure to check for you know, if you know. No dust, clean floors and carpet. The pool was perfect temp and the hot tub was hot. We were across from the elevators and didn’t hear a thing! Best sleep in a long time. Shower was hot right away.

From the front desk to the breakfast team to the manager we met at check out. Everyone was amazing. All hotels should take note from hotel and how it’s run. We look forward to staying here if we are in the area again.

The only thing that could have made our stay any better would have been if the window was cleaned on the outside. I don’t know if there is anything that could actually be done but we were trying to watch the train in the distance.

This is a newer hotel. Things were clean and well kept. The room was spacious. The water pressure in the shower was great. The exercise room was very nice. There was a good variety of equipment plus some extras. The breakfast had a nice assortment and was good. The staff were friendly. This is what you would expect from a Hampton Inn. We would definitely stay there again.

I have been staying at this hotel since the end of march, coming in every other week for work. They are terrible! I have reserved a specific room because I am handicapped...they have given it away and reassigned me a room at the END of the hallway, a very long walk! I have repeatedly asked for a room with easy access, something near the elevator. They DO NOT CARE THAT I AM HANDICAPPED! This is not the first time they have disregarded my request and given the room away. NOT one time have I cancelled, I always show up, its for work! Last time I was here they said they would bring a cart for check out...45 minutes I carried my own items by myself...and shocker...there were carts there when I went by the front desk. I was late for work waiting for their assistance! If they would treat a guest that has been here every other week for 3 and 1/2 months this way...trust me they will not care about you! Do NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!

We have stayed at many Hampton Inns , but none better than this one. Common Areas and our room are super clean. The breakfast was excellent. Room amenities were impressive. Theresa, at the counter when we checked in, was very friendly, professional, and very helpful with directions and recommendations.
