One of the best trails in the region. There are so many waterfalls and cave features on this trail, I would love to go back and do it again. I wouldn't recommend taking kids or pets on this trail. There is a rope section where you climb up using a rope and no harness which makes it super difficult to assist a pet or a child while going up to the eye of the needle.

This was one of the harder hikes we have done. I hiked to the spot where the creek comes out of the bluff. I didn't climb the ropes due to a knee injury. Plan to get wet and/or muddy on this one, as the trail crosses the creek several times. The trailhead is at the rear of the campground at Kyle's Landing. There is good signage for the trail. I would rate this one moderate/hard because of the slick rocks and obstacles you have to traverse.

So far the most fun I've had on a trail! Not a good hike for young kids. Definitely a trail worth returning to.

Kyle's landing is the actual location of the trailhead, the road down is much better than Whittaker Point, but still a little rough. My RWD charger did find taking it slow. The easy part of the trail treks you through some really pretty streams and around the Buffalo river itself. I spent this entire trip exploring all the little waterfalls, and it was well worth it. I'm going to take a look at the difficult sections next time, and see if I can survive!

Completely unacceptable trail markers. Too many criss cross paths. Ranger station never open for information.
