Perfect location for Diamond Hunters! We rented the Miners Cabin ( 4 adults, 2 dogs) and found it to be very nice! Well appointed with comfy quality furniture, clean comfy beds and a recently updated bathroom. The outside could use a bit of maintainance, but for the purpose of our visit, it was more than adequate! Bring your own towels because they are not provided. There's a small collection of mining tools on the screened in front porch. The fire pit outside was very helpful in relaxing after a long, fruitless day of diamond hunting!

Go with the bad reviews. It does not look, like, any of the pictures that are posted. Very run down. Would not recommend. I agree about this place being sketchy, especially, with it looking like, long-term residents, residing there. I wouldn't take children there. We had paid our part. Once we were setting our camper up.... then observing more, of the residents living there, it was a no! Did not try to ask for our money back!
Hooked up our camper and got the hell out of there! Did not feel safe, especially, after seeing the residents coming out of their campers. Felt like the Hills Have Eyes.

This is a basic campground just outside Crater of Diamonds State Park. There are RV pads with power and water, but I'm not sure if they have a dump station or sewer connects. I had the primitive camping area entirely to myself for a few days. Those sites have fire pits, and 4 sites have picnic tables. Plenty of shade for tents and RVs alike, and the tent area is well separated from the RV sites. No water on the tent side, but water and restroom/showers are available near the office.

When we arrived our cabin had been given to someone else. We did not feel very safe it was very run down the room smelled terrible..
it is not at all as it is described on line. It all around looked so sketch looked like a old run down junk yard. I dont recommend this place at all We drove 5 hours to end up turning around and driving back home never again.. The manager was nice but would only return some but not all of our money but VRBO is taking care of the rest.

Location, if you want to endure the tourist trap of crater of diamonds, is great. Other than that, terrible. Bathrooms are absolutely gross. Camp sites are tiny. We rented the mini cabin and there was duct tape around the door frame and on the floor with light shining through it. Smelled extremely strong of flowery cleaner. We left and payed $200 for a hotel just not to stay there.

Our cabin was clean and cozy. Nothing fancy but exactly what we needed for a couple of days. Pet friendly. Our cabin had mining equipment that we borrowed and returned. 3=5 minute drive to the diamond mine. Friendly host. Easy checkin/ checkout. Will gladly stay there again.

The only good thing about this place is the location and price, but you get what you pay for. It's a dump. Very disappointing, the pictures on their website must have been taken many, many years ago, because it is so run down now. Trash/food in firepit, old, broken down campers with tarps on them, lots of cars in and out that weren't staying/living there and the bathrooms were disgusting. Mostly long term campers that had apparently been there a very long time. Would not recommend to anyone, especially if your traveling with kids.

I came here last min, I was going to stay one night and booked a small cabin for $35 the owner was really nice and we got set up. I later received a call that my husbands brother was dying from a work related accident, I ran to the office to turn in the key and leave. The owner came and found us an decided he wanted to refund us our money back in cash ( I paid with my card) and said I’m sorry to hear that, we didn’t get a chance to stay the night but It was very nice of him to do that I never wanted a refund I was in a hurry, but him knowing the right thing to do was a very nice gesture.
