Budget Car Rental - Texarkana, Arkansas

Online the place is supposed to open at 9:30a when actually it's 10:30a. These are the words I received from an Avis agent, that either didn't want to be bothered or didn't really deal with my kind. They didn't have the vehicle that I reserved and paid for. We ended up with a dirty vehicle that I cleaned, no navigation, screen constantly download or update. With all these new COVID and FLU cases, you just never know. I never seen a Budget Agent during this whole experience. At the end of the day customer service is everything to me. I am a public servant myself so I pride myself on delivering a state of the art service. I have added pictures also, I will not be going back to the airport for rentals.

Very nice experience with this car rental location. The people there are very helpful and accommodating with the rentals and the flight arrival times. Lauren was very nice and helpful, and really helped me out on this trip with making sure that I had a car to leave the airport with ever changing flights and arrival times. Will be renting from them again next time I travel to Texarkana for certain. Great car too!

No issues. Just checked it back in so this review could change. No issues with the brand new Toyota Rav 4 with 4000 miles on it. We had a nightmare experience at enterprise that nearly ruined our vacation. After a weeks notice on our reservation we went to pick up at enterprise. NO CAR!!! Seinfeld episode anyone? Paid $300 more to budget because of that but the upgrades us and sent us on our way.

I related to budget, the Toyotas speedometer was off by 3 miles. I found that odd on a brand new car. Also the average mpg was consistently off by 30 mph. Not budgets fault. Just putting all the facts out there.

I would like to thank Ricky publicly for turning an initially doubtful rental experience into one that left me saying, “Wow!”

Ricky works at the Texarkana airport’s Avis counter, but also handles Budget rentals there. My daily driver had to go to the hospital, and I needed a rental. The car I initially picked up had a couple of issues—this rental franchise stays busy, and it was pretty clear that nobody had had a chance to see the car before it went back out again.

It had been more than 20 years since I’d last rented a car, and I didn’t know that I could just have walked back inside and asked for a different one. I didn’t figure that out till well after the office had closed. So my plan was to call when the office opened the next morning.

The weather powers that be, had other plans. That was some weather day. It took me till late morning the next day to get a call through. I really expected not to get much of a response. Well, guess what? I didn’t even have to finish describing my situation before Ricky said, “Come on in and I’ll swap it out.”

And then it rained … some more … what a storm. It was not by any means safe to drive until about 3 p.m., when I finally set out. Because of all the road closures due to flooding and accidents, a 24-minute trip turned into a little more than an hour’s worth. So I didn’t get there until about half of forever had passed, and I figured that might have changed the forecast, as it were.

Nope! Ricky remembered. No problem at all! And the car he put me in is AWESOME. I have never driven one so nice. Wow, wow …and since I had to drive it home in heavy weather, I was really grateful that this car is what it is. It made a really treacherous night drive into one I felt sure I could get through, thanks to the car. Never in my life have I seen any vehicle with so many helpful features! It is gorgeous, tight steering, good powerful engine, brakes are superb, I love the upholstery, I am bowled over by the parking assist. Nissan Rogue! Ruby red sparkle! I want one!

I’d also like to thank the gentleman who was taking care of the cars’ maintenance and cleanliness today. I liked seeing how attentive he was to their condition and to any concerns. Thank you, sir.

Fast and easy pick up and drop off service. Free upgrade due to vehicle choice was not available, but extremely satisfied with free upgrade. Staff members were very friendly and courteous, smiling through the entire in person interaction. Great customer service experience!

I love the ease of being able to get a rental where there is not a lot of hassle. Budget fits my demands and they make it easier to get what you need when you need it. I love them!

The car was great for the price. The customer service at time of pickup was appalling and I’ve never experienced worse. If I could rate lower, just for that as it colored my whole experience, I would. Informed by staff at pickup once I was asking questions about the credit card policy and their refusal to utilize the same card that I prepaid, “we just work here and we don’t know. You’re interrogating us.” Working in the customer service industry for over 10 years, I was shocked by the attitude and the behavior of employees. I expected as it is a small town rental location in comparison to others I have utilized, that there would be small town hospitality. That is absolutely not the case here.
