If you're looking for a quick jump into history, this is a great spot. Anyone who enjoys history, particularly Arkansas history, will enjoy the well thought out information and memorabilia in this museum. Melissa was very knowledgeable about the history of the building, and you could tell she honestly loved hearing stories from people who had some sort of history with the building or people who lived within it in the past. There are several opportunities to watch informative videos or read different plaques telling you facts about the jail and the people who once lived there or were overnight guests. Free experience, tips appreciated.

I was lucky to find this amazing source of Searcy Co, AR history. It is worth seeking it out and spending at least 1-2 hours taking it all in. If you are really fortunate, you will meet Bob King for a tour. (Although, I hear Daryl is amazing too.) Today was good day learning about who we are in this Great Country.

This museum is fantastic. The building is the original jail for Searcy Co AR built in 1902. Interactive and so educational that it’s great for all ages.
