This has be the most ridiculous system! They have of the most rudest, and disrespectful case workers. How are you all supposed to help parents and the children get back together, when the so call social workers stir up mess, and try to “brainwash” the children! The system needs to do better by the parents and the children!!!! Especially with your staff!!!! Instead of trying to help to single parents that really put in the work to fight for their child or children back, the so called workers of DHS, are make things worse. Not everyone that works for DHS is not in it just for the money, but the ones I’ve seen, based off their attitudes, are in it for that particular reason! I’m speaking into existence that the Lord will convict you all’s crooked hearts, and be served with KARMA for not helping families!!!

They don't want to help. I got the run around for over a month before giving up altogether. Now we've accepted our fate as a 3 person family household with a $50 per week food budget. What a wonderful country we live in.

No one seems to know what they are doing. On 6 month review of my case, my child's ARKids case was closed. Notice says she does not live with a listed adult and must be emancipated?! She's 12! She IS listed (as my daughter) on my form for review that was mailed in just 2 weeks ago. She has always lived with me, and never had this issue. No one at the office is even answering the phone, though the website says they are open. This is not the first major error they have made on my case. Be forewarned - this office is not well trained... and it's likely not their fault (no one taught them the right way). Doesnt make it less frustrating though.

6 years later, its even worse now. All calls to the office listed on google as local will go to a call center. My child is disabled and now lives on their own in public housing. Have been trying to get SNAP for 5 months. They have lost all documentation 8 times. You read that right. Lost all documentation repeatedly. Do not mail anything. Do not call. You MUST go in person to the office, and even then it is sketchy. As of today, still not approved and documents lost again. (I even have proof of emailed stuff to back it all up). I am about to get an attorney.

I'm 65 and was so confused about changing over from Medicaid and Medicare. The wonderful lady at the front desk had all my paperwork, everything signed and dated in maybe 10 minutes. First time I was sure it was took care of.

I haven't had a decent experience there since we don't have case workers who are assigned... Telling me I have everything I need for 3 months and never got them bc I was missing something I had turned in they just were not specific and never told me called or sent an email or message. They are so rude when you ask a simple question too. I was just trying to make sure I got them.

This place is an absolute nightmare. No one communicates anything and the process takes MONTHS simply because they refuse to “follow up” the supervisor’s exact words is “no one will follow up”
I want to understand how they work with they public for multiple different purposes and they lack basic communication skills? I want to understand how a supervisor doesn’t even help to resolve simple issues. Teach the people that work for you. We hold for 30+ minutes to not get anywhere with the process.

They are very unprofessional. I went on maternity leave in April and applied for snap before April ended. They sent me how much I will receive but never gotten a card. I waited all the way until June to get a letter saying I didn’t get approved for July. But still no card. I have been calling everyday. They don’t answer their phone. I have also been calling about my baby medicaid. They do not like answering the phone. Now me and my kid don’t have no food and put on hold with the Medicaid situation.
