What an incredibly lovely historic Inn! The rooms were clean, beautiful linens, great hospitality and delicious complimentary breakfast made to order. It's quiet and elegant. The poor town of Helena is a disappearing DELTA town all but gone and I hope a miracle can save it. The MS River State Park nearby is incredible!

Wonderful place to stay anytime! Beautiful architecture suggesting golden age wealth (you could spend a half day admiring the Inn itself). Stayed with my partner in room 10 which was opulent. All good prices I’d say. Everything was comfortable- service, rooms and beds, parking, breakfast.

The town has a surprisingly great museum (delta cultural center), pleasant downtown and riverwalk. It’s also nearby to Clarksdale/the Mississippi blues trail, and not far from Memphis.

Wes was a great innkeeper and it looks and sounds like the current owners are too. I would 100% recommend&return with more people.

The Edwardian Inn is the best and possibly the only good thing about Helena, currently. This was a one-night stop for us on a Great River Road Trip. The Inn is beautiful and the couple who own it are charming. The room and bed were comfortable and suited our one-night needs. I can't imagine what one would do in Helena for more than a night as most of the town is desolate. Fortunately, the Inn serves a delicious breakfast because restaurants in the area are few. I do hope the town sees some sort of revival in the future. I would imagine the October Blues Festival is a good shot in the arm for any business that is still operating.

We loved our stay at the Edwardian Inn. The inn itself is so beautiful with all of the woodwork. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The owners are friendly and the food was delicious. Just be aware that this is an old house so there is no elevator. It’s part of the charm, but if your bag is overloaded, you might not feel that way.

I slept in #5, The William A. Short room, named after the original owner. It was clean and comfortable, and I got a good night's sleep. Staying there was one of the best features of my brief visit to Helena. ||But the highlight was breakfast with the young, attractive couple who own and manage the place. We had an engaging conversation for an hour or two about a variety of topics. I know a little about a lot of things, and now I know something about travel in Southeast Asia and detassling corn.||I'm not a big fan of B&Bs, especially those in old buildings. This was the nicest one ever. Two small negatives. I saw some ladybugs on the wall above the mirror in my bathroom as I was getting ready for bed. They're harmless, no big deal to me. And there was the sound of machinery from across the road. Steady, not very loud, white noise. But, like the ladybugs, some may object.

We are travelling across the USA and were looking for a place to stay here in Helena. Based on the available options, we booked the Edwardian Inn because of the excellent reviews despite the hefty price tag for the area. The hotel is full of character and charm and we may have just caught the owners on a bad day, but the service was anything but great. While we did arrive after our stated arrival time, it was well within the published check-in window. We had to ring the bell twice and send an email, plus wander around before the door was finally opened. France gave us a room key, took our breakfast order and helped us find one of the few restaurants in town that is open on a Sunday evening. I had to remind her that we weren’t locals and have her show us on the map where the restaurant was in relation to the hotel. The room was comfortable enough and spacious, although the heating unit was extremely noisy and woke me up every time it cycled on. The bed and pillows were comfortable. We requested a 7:30 am breakfast and made our way down to the dining room. I arrived and no one greeted me. My husband arrived a few minutes later and still no one acknowledged our presence. We helped ourselves to coffee and juice, although it was not obviously a self serve station. About 7:40, Robert (I presume, because he didn’t introduce himself or even say good morning), came out with our breakfasts and placed them on the table. I mentioned that the wifi was not working this morning, and he said that he had noticed that himself. He tried to reboot the modem/router but came back to clear the dishes and said he was going to have to call the ISP as the reboot did not work. Without wifi we had no tv in the morning (it did work in the evening). He did offer to let us use his cellular data, which was appreciated. Breakfast was tasty, although the butter for the toast was as cold as the common areas.
We like to support small, independent businesses as much as possible, but we paid more for this room in town with not much going on than we have any other property in far nicer towns. I would suggest that outside of high season, the rates might be dropped - I am sure other travellers passing through might consider this lovely property if the rates were a bit cheaper. There was only 1 other room occupied while we were there. We did not see the other guests at breakfast, but there were 4 time slots available so they may have eaten later. Our customer service experience did not reflect the southern hospitality we have received on our trip so far.
