Very nice facility with interesting and interactive displays. The grounds are real nice with a concrete sidewalk around the park and enclosed with tasteful wrought iron fencing. Especially pretty right now since it is Fall. The gift shop is nice with a nice selection of items for all ages and price ranges.

This is a very nice museum that features artifacts that were unearthed in the area. Very interesting history of the native people that lived here, Desoto's expedition, and the people who found and preserved the artifacts. The staff were very friendly and seemed to enjoy talking about the history housed within the museum.

What a wonderful surprise! Driving back to MO, we saw the sign on the highway and decided to stop in. Great display of artifacts and also has hands-on, interactive exhibits. Entry is donation-based. We only visited the museum, but it's located in an adorable town square with a grocery store & cafe, among other businesses.
