Our family reunion comes here. it's a nice set up, we usually stretch out about 4-5 sites. We love spending time together catching up. This time, there was a HUGE ant problem, we sprayed, but there were ants everywhere. Besides that and parking being limited, it was a blast. We enjoyed kayaking across the lake, swimming in the swimming hole, and catching a few fish.

There’s only a handful of sites that have sewer hook ups if you’re in a camper so make sure you get one of those if you go. Most sites are on the water and it’s very beautiful. If you’re into squirrels, this is a place for you. They are everywhere. Make sure you bring something for the insects. We went in October so I’m not sure how that stands up against other times of the year. But while we were there, there were plenty of ants And the flying insects and mosquitoes at night were very very bad.

My wife and I are still here on a little weekend getaway (only 65 miles from home), and so far we've really been enjoying it. We're at site 69 and it's very nice, probably the highest spot in the park, not really sure. We got one of the spots with a full hookup and it was only $28 per night. Great deal as far as I'm concerned.
When we got here yesterday we were greeted by a very nice lady and a gentleman (not born in the south...lol), they were both great to us as lomg as you understand people's personalities can be different depending on where you're from. A review I read said they were rude, (and I can see that) it could be taken that way if you're not used to people being blunt and to the point. Anyway, the site has a large (double or even triple some we've been in and it's been very well maintained. Unless something changes, I feel like we will be back pretty soon.

Beautiful campground! Very friendly park attendants, easy check-in. My campsite (40 Pirate's Cove) had amazing views and was clean. Restrooms were clean and stocked. Showers were hot and high pressure. Definitely recommend and will definitely be back! Thank you for a wonderful getaway.

I visited the HARDRIDGE CREEK campground in Alabama, where I found the campsites to be roomy and some with picturesque waterfront views. The swimming area was inviting, but I decided against taking a dip due to the time of year. (February) Unfortunately, my interaction with one set of camp hosts left me feeling unimpressed as they seemed irritable and unwelcoming. I had a problem with the washer and the camp host said it wasn’t her problem (even though the sign in the laundry area stated to speak to a camp host with issues). They told me to go to a different washer and dryer. I explain they should put a sign on the washer. They never mention to me how I shall get my $$ back so I could re-wash my items. And before this situation happened during check in she was rude with me. They need to get some more pleasant workers or something. ( a older couple was the camp host at this time. I didn’t get their names otherwise I would post it)

We had a great 5 day vacation here, beautiful views and peaceful surroundings. Host people were very kind and helpful. There are a lot of lake front sites that offer gorgeous views and birds singing all day long. We stayed at site #31, next time will like to try #43-45. We have a 40’ fifth wheel and felt comfortable in, around and out.
