The trails are well-maintained, and there are options for all fitness levels. Fern Canyon is a must-see—lush, green, and surreal. Wildlife is abundant, and the coastal views are stunning. MAY 2025 - Redwood National Forest was absolutely magnificent and breath-taking. Some were over 3,000 years old! Highly recommend driving the full route of Avenue of the Giants to take in the full beauty of this treasured forest.

My brother and I went to Cathedral Trails and it was amazing. We saw some banana slugs, which were really cool! The trail was on the short side, but was perfect for what we were looking for! They have the "Big Tree" with a plaque and platform to take pictures that give the size, diameter, etc of the tree! I'd absolutely visit this trail again!

Absolutely magica. The giant redwood trees feel straight out of a fairytale, towering and ancient. I only had a few hours but could have stayed all day. The scenic drive through the forest is unforgettable, especially when sun rays cut through the trees onto the road. So many trails to explore, each one peaceful and awe-inspiring. A must-stop if you’re traveling through California.

Beautiful lush national park! Fern canyon is one of the best little trails I’ve done anywhere. Moss lichen and ferns everywhere it’s no wonder they filmed part of Jurassic Park there. And the redwoods all throughout the park are so inspiring. Don’t forget to check out the tide pools either.

This park was a good surprise for me. Various different landscapes to enjoy: ancient woods with old giant redwood trees, pacific coast with sandy beach and cliffs, open meadows full of elks. Next time I will stay here for longer.
