One visitor shared their experience, 'Definitely worth the stop. I thought I'd leave my experience. I don't have a tall car but it is fairly wide for a sedan. Lexus LS430 for reference. No issues driving down and out the other side without any scrapes. I folded the mirrors which definitely helped give additional clearance on the sides. Overall a great experience. Wasn't overly crowded and was able to make multiple laps through the tree to get videos from inside and outside.'

Driving through a redwood was a unique and memorable experience. It’s a tight squeeze, so be sure to check the posted clearance signs to ensure your vehicle can fit—my Subaru Outback just made it through. There is an unmanned pay station at the entrance for access. Although the gift shop was closed during our visit, we were still able to explore the grounds, which featured other interesting sights. The treehouses were especially charming—two stories tall, and if you're on the shorter side like me, you can easily climb up to the top!

Save yourself the 15$ most of you and me included will not drive through this particular tree. It says the opening is 7' x7' but the hole is at the bottom of a dip, so you have to go down to go in and up to come out. Most vehicles will not clear and will scrape. While I was there 3 people paid to drive in it and once they saw it they realized they are not chancing their nice vehicle to go through it. Also it is not the famous one that you can actually drive through. As for the tree though, the tree itself is amazing to see I can only imagine how tall it was at its highest. Beautiful sight. Oh and the tree is held up by 3 cables so it doesn't fall over.

No staff on site. Just drop some money in a box. When it’s fully open it looks like they have a gift shop. Lot more stuff than when I went 20 years ago. Good place for little kids for a short stop over

A detour into nature’s novelty, driving through a redwood. The $15 ticket feels a bit steep for this quirky stop. Space is on the cozier side, so you have to be really careful with your car. There are tree houses and cool carvings next to it.

A lot of sovereign options. Prices were good. The redwood carvings I just couldn't afford. Very cool place.

Interesting place to visit and isn't too far off hwy 101. We did the drive through experience but you can pay a little less and walk through the place. I'd recommend walking through because the tree is very tight to get through and the approach angle on the way out is not great for cars low to the ground. It's much easier and more fun to just get out and walk around unless you just gotta have that car experience. The gift shop is fairly large as well and has lots of choices but no penny flattening machine.
