Was looking for fountains and found this hidden gem in Thousand Oaks. Went on a Thursday, 1 hour before closing. Lovely day and weather to enjoy spring in the themed gardens.
Italian, French, Spanish, Japanese, and English gardens with flowers, statues, and fountains. The dominant fountain is the Italian Chain Fountain. However, I really enjoyed the Japanese Garden with its koi fish pond and themed lanterns lighting the path.
Parking is through the gate, up the driveway and around the back. Little slice of green heaven in TO.

Such a beautiful well maintained garden. I loved the paintings of all the missions and we were stopped by some of the workers and given a brochure about the park with information on each beautiful area and they gave us some food to feed the koi

Free! Beautiful gardens, mahogany and teak pagoda, pathways, pergola, fountains and bandstand. Spacious picnic areas and clean bathrooms. Wheelchair accessible throughout. Our docent Jim was well versed in the history and flora. Lovely day in early November. No pets. This is a privately owned garden made possible by the Hogan family. Redwood trees, Cedar, Cypress, Oak, Olive, Ash, Magnolia, and so much more.

Gardens of the World is a nice, well-kept garden, but the staff isn’t very friendly, which takes away from the experience. I brought my camera to take photos of my daughter, but they told me it wasn’t allowed because it was considered ‘professional photography,’ even though it was just for personal use. It was disappointing, but I still might come back.

We took our teenage granddaughter here and she loved it as much as we did. We opted for just walking around at our own pace and lingered at the spots which were the most interesting to us. We most liked the English Rise Garden, the Koi in the Japanese Garden and the California Mission Courtyard but the Italian/Roman and the French Gardens were also interesting.
It was well worth a visit in late October and we will probably be back again to see it in the Spring.

Beautiful hidden gem which is free to the public and has gorgeous grounds to explore with Spanish, Italian and Japanese gardens. Small waterfalls, fountains, koi pond , pagoda, Spanish adobe and Italian arbors. I was there in November and it’s still beautiful.

This is a beautiful, quiet, Serene place. It is very well maintained and beautiful. I highly recommend a walk in this beautiful Park.

The gardens are a great place to walk around and relax. There are park benches you can sit on and a picnic area but you’re not allowed to sit on the large grass area in front of the round stage. The docents can get obnoxious and I tend to avoid and not make eye contact. Don’t try and take a selfie of you and your kid in front of one… you’ll get reprimanded. A regular photo is fine tho…
Other than that it’s a nice free to all place to visit if you’re in the area
