It's an expansive campground and if you're lucky, you have a nice view. It can get hot and dusty so timing is very important. The fire pits and grills are great. Bathroom is decent, but the showers take up 4 quarters for 3 minutes and both stalls were clogged and flooded though. Yuck.

Other than that, just be careful of insects and critters, keep your tents closed up and clean your gear before bringing them inside your house.

We stayed in the Fox campsites and we had a great time. It rained on us one day, but the next day the sky cleared up and it was warm. We camped as a group, probably six or seven families each in their own site and we all had a great time. The lake is pretty close to being full and even though you can't get in the water, it's beautiful to see the sun rise and set over the water. There is lots to do. Or you can do as I did and do nearly nothing. Very enjoyable, I would recommend it to anyone that lives to camp. They have from tent camping to full hookups so they can accommodate just about anyone.

1st time and I loved it. Plenty of space for our RV and had power and water hook ups. Dump station on site and staff/Rangers were helpful and informative. Definitely will be going back.

Disc golf course is nestled between ravines with very challenging drives. Intermediate level course with some advanced/pro level shaped shot opportunities. Lake Casitas in the background. Beautiful!

I highly recommend Lake Casitas Recreation Area for camping, day trips, or a fun family outing! As a local, I've enjoyed this spot for years. The recently renovated water park is fantastic, with a great kids' play area and lazy river. There are plenty of clean restrooms and showers, plus a convenient on-site store. Camping here is amazing, especially now that the lake is full. Don't miss out on this hidden gem! One of these pictures shows the restaurant with the boat loading ramp next to it. That ramp had not been used for many many years, so it is amazing to see it operational now since the water level has risen.

Great place to explore nature. I saw deers, rabbits, squirrels, frogs, birds, and yellow wasps ( one of them got me ๐Ÿ˜ญ). Showers are $1 per coin and it gives 4 minutes of water.

I had some annoying and loud campers near us. I called the parked ranger at 1 AM. They apologized for the inconvenience since quiet time starts at 10 PM. They came and told them that they needed to be responsible adults or leave. The following night. They still stayed there, but actually got quiet before 10PM. My third night. They had left. I was able to see some shooting stars!! ๐ŸŒ

Their store has ice and other stuff & food that may be needed. The price is high. Make sure to pack all you need, so you may only use the store for ice if any.

Water park is great for the whole family. I personally prefer Monday -Thursday because it is less crowded. No line for the water slide and the lazy river is so relaxing. Remember to pack your sunblock. No food allowed inside, but can go out and back the same day multiple times. There is a food truck with also high prices and lines. Make sure to make your own food and snacks if you have a large family and want to stay on a low budget. I recommend having snacks every 3 hours for children. And reapply sunblock.

Have fun!!
