Nice peaceful place on the river, we've been coming here for years! The only thing I would say is if you're staying in a small cabin, you have to walk to the bathroom if that's not something you're willing to do. Rent a bigger cabin that has plumbing

Parked our Oliver Travel Trailer at RimShoals for an anticipated, we hoped, 6 days of flyfishing. The Dams on the White did not cooperate but we were prepared to fish elsewhere and we did. We love the location and ambience of this resort. Close to Mountain Home, but we enjoyed shopping at the small grocery in nearby Gassville, getting coffee at Momentum and eating pizza from a little restaurant across the street from the grocery. We unfortunately lost power for a few hours due to a bad storm, so did not get to use the nearby laundromat which was highly recommended. Rim Shoals is very friendly and low key, thanks to Abe who manages the resort. He is very knowledgeable about the fishing and the area in general. He guided us to the flyfishing shop, Natural State, in Cotter where we were able to purchase items sold out elsewhere plus learned of a fly fishing skills competition taking place at Cotter’s waterside park that weekend. We attended and enjoyed watching some incredible skills with fly rods!
Back to Rim Shoals…we had friends who first introduced us to the area, join us for the second half of our stay. They rented a cabin which was so well supplied. We enjoyed dinner there on the front porch overlooking the White. Watched deer amble the shoreline across from us, heron and eagles gliding overhead. So peaceful! Thank you, Abe and Rim Shoals!

This place was great! Had a very comfortable stay. We have been here twice and for our current stay we encountered a complication that Abe was very professional about. He solved our issue even though we called him at 10 at night to come help us. You guys have gained a repeat customer, looking forward to my next fishing trip here!

Stayed for a couple of nights with my family. Rented a boat for 2 days to fish the catch and release area, and also went about 1 mile upstream from catch/release water. Had 2 epic days of trout fishing despite irregular water flows and rain. This picture is my daughter with a 27 inch Brown. Fish was released after this quick photo. We caught and released about 40 trout per day. Caught 5 nice browns in these 2 days. Released all fish. Great owner of lodge that will bend over backwards to help you enjoy your time there at his resort.

Where do I start, maybe at the moment my wife enters into our cottage and can't believe how incredibly nice the cottage is, or how super nice the view is or maybe how close the boat ramp is. Not to mention, Fly fishing upstream or downstream was great. I have a jet boat making it easy to go up or downstream from the resort. Abe could not have been more accommodating and allowing us to check in early and the ' right on the button fishing report'. My wife and I really enjoyed our 1st stay here at Rim Shoals. We will be back to catch more Brownie's!!!

The resort itself is pretty nice. I didnt catch any fish though and I ALWAYS catch fish wherever I go. Horribly disappointed. Had a huge headache. White river was too high. Beautiful scenery. Wifi sucked. Rooms are clean and cabin was fully stocked. That was awesome! View is gorgeous.
