This place is beautiful. The staff is very nice. It is a camp, though, so if you're expecting a 5-star hotel and restaurant, you aren't going to get it. The folding chairs in Allen Hall are terribly uncomfortable. The food is typical camp food and needs a little work. You might want to bring a mattress topper if you don't sleep well on the little camp mattresses. Other than that, this is a great place to come as a staff or any group to bond and really get to know each other.

Very nice new cabins with air conditioning. There are lots of large oak trees that provide shade. There was a variety of food choices at meals which was great for the kids. The food that was made from scratch was very good. There were a few stings from the pesky yellow jackets but overall our group had a great experience.

Food was great. Thank u 2 kitchen staff. Line for zip was coordinated poorly. Better group scheduling is needed so that everyone in their group can zip line. Staff is friendly, grounds are clean. Cabins are comfy ♡ I'm all smiles

Great place for a retreat of any kind! I bring 100 kids here every year and they love it! The grounds are beautiful, the cabins clean, food is great and the staff is amazing! Highly Recommended!

Pros:
Cabins in great conditions.

Clean bathrooms

Good price for retreat,

Easy location.

Various free time activities offered such as climbing wall zip line, hijing, field sports and disc golf.

Cons:
Not as accommodating as one would expect from a conference center.

Asking patrons to end all conversations on the grounds at 10pm.

Music is not allowed on conference grounds.

Common areas becoming quite used and run down. Broken torn chairs in meeting area, broken benches, unkept grounds.

Staff would line up for meals before conference attendees.

Conclusion: it's pretty apparent to us who have used forest home in the past that the rotations of leadership has left it's mark on the ministry on the Ojai Valley site. I give it a 3 star in hopes that the overall experience could improve

No AC for half the living situations. Some of the showers didnt have shower heads. The tents had holes in them that were just patched with duct tape. All the tents have two light sockets in them but they won't put two bulbs in the tents so it's hard to see at night. Holes all over the campus are a huge trip hazard.

Very pleasant place. Drinks could be improved slightly, but it’s not the end of the world. Cabins are great - clean!! Kinda expensive though.
