Anita was our best investment for our vow renewal. Initially, my husband and I thought we could handle everything ourselves for our small event. A friend wisely advised against this, leading us to seek coordinators. After meeting Anita, one of our venue’s preferred vendors, we knew she was the right choice—her five-star reviews were well-deserved! We met with a few others before deciding to book with her and what swayed us over was how genuine she was, and how there was this unspoken confidence about her in making our vision come to life (which now after the fact can confidently say that she exceeded way beyond our wildest dreams). It’s crazy to think that we booked Anita a little over a month before our wedding! There are so many things I could say …

- Anita asked insightful questions with things we didn’t even consider (but were necessary). This spoke into her many years of experience in the industry
- Every element of our wedding was executed to perfection. She even added elements on the day of into our decoration that were the finishing touches we needed!
- I wanted an elegant, intimate, and cozy vibes. Every single detail was executed perfectly from the dimming of the lights to the grand reveal of our ceremony to the presentation, etc.
- For our beach ceremony, she recommended the absolute best florist for our floral arch. Despite the wind, the arch held perfectly—trust her vendor recommendations; they are top-notch! We spent so much time (which wasn’t factored into our time) at the arch after the ceremony because it was so grand and beautiful!
- With my non-traditional work schedule, Anita was always accommodating, meeting with me at odd hours and providing unwavering support throughout the planning process.

I have never felt this completely at ease letting go of control to someone I had just met. She allowed us to fully enjoy our day, constantly reassuring us that everything would be fine—and it truly was magical.

If you’re on the fence about hiring a wedding coordinator, invest in one! And if you’re in between a few coordinators like we were initially, trust us and choose Anita - you won’t regret it. As a bride, you want your wedding day to be as stress-free and smooth as possible. Anita did that and more! I hired Anita for her day of coordination services for my wedding at the Perry House in Monterey, CA in August 2024. From the moment I spoke to Anita on the phone, she was so smart and knowledgeable about all things weddings, but also so friendly, kind, and warm. She was always providing great suggestions and advice when I would come to her for questions, and we kept in contact leading up the wedding. The days leading up to the wedding, she was so on top of everything. She made sure all my vendors were ready, my timeline was up to date, and the bridal party and family knew what was expected of them. The day of the wedding, she had all the decorations set up, and helped facilitate of all my needs. She was so on top of everything and it went so perfectly. I cannot stress enough how beneficial it was to have Anita, and my day was so smooth and perfect because of her. And at the end of the night, she helped us put everything in my family's car so that my husband and I could go off to the bar with our friends. On top of everything, Anita was so kind and sweet to work with. You could tell she wanted us to feel so happy and special on the day of the wedding.

My mom was adamant I write a review for Anita so others would use her services. This is what my mom had to say about Anita: When a daughter gets married you want the day to go beautiful! We are forever grateful to Anita who made my daughter’s wedding one of the best days of our lives! She took so much stress away and we were truly able to enjoy our daughter’s wedding! Anita is an absolute pleasure to work with - she is organized, creative, patient, easy going and fun!
We used A STARR Events for my daughter's Bat Mitzvah and quickly realized that we wouldn't have fared well without Anita. From big items, such as recommending and coordinating other vendors, to small details, such as creating thank you notes/party favors , Anita went far and beyond.
Anita is very professional - she quickly responds to texts and emails, on time, always considerate of costs, willing and ready to help anyway she can. I'd also like to highlight that Anita is easy going and personable. When at the very last moment, literally two days before the party, my husband decided to get a DJ, she was very understanding and just went with the flow.
I'd recommend her without hesitation for events big and small.

Living in a different city from where we were getting married was, to be honest, incredibly difficult.
We visited Monterey a few times (always have loved it) and finally chose a venue for our beach wedding. We went through a couple of wedding planners who kept falling through or just completely forgot about us. We thought it may be a lost cause. When we found Anita from 'A Starr Events', when knew she was the one.
She stayed on top of everything and her detailed lists helped us feel more prepared, especially since we could only visit once a month. When there were issues with our venue, she stepped up to the plate and immediately dealt with it. Especially when we had issues with multiple florists just weeks before the wedding, she became our florist and they were gorgeous! She was present 100% and I don't know what we would've done without her.

Anita is absolutely excellent. Other than marrying my husband, hiring Anita as my wedding planner/coordinator was the best choice I could have made for my wedding. After interviewing multiple potential wedding planners, I was sure that she was the right choice because of her professionalism, responsiveness, and her myriad of connections in the bay area. Her rates are very reasonable and the extensive work that she put into our wedding to make sure everything was perfect made her the greatest value we could have asked for! We were living in Texas while planning a wedding at a private property in California which was initially a challenge but once we hired Anita, she was able to put things into place by finding our caterer, DJ, tent/many other rentals, along with handling the logistics of coordinating the deliveries, budget, design, and day of specifics. I do not know how the wedding would have happened without her so if I could give her 10/5 stars here I would! She was able to coordinate with my in-laws and wedding parties to make sure that all the details were set in place. Anita's meticulous, detail oriented planning along with her ease in communication, timeliness, friendliness, and professionalism made her a pleasure to work with. While working with Anita, I always felt like her priority throughout the entire process. She made me feel like my wants and needs were met and was able to fill in any missing gaps I had so smoothly that it seemed effortless. I would easily say that my wedding was the best day of my life and a lot of it was due to the hard work that Anita put in to make the day run so smoothly.
