My wife and I just stayed one night at The Ayres Hotel in Chino Hills. We selected the hotel because of its location and value for the money. We definitely had zero complaints. Check-in was fast and simple. Every staff member we encountered was friendly. Our room was large, and the bed was comfortable with nice sheets and pillows. The bathroom was a little dated but still nice. We only had a limited breakfast because we had to leave prior to the 8:00 am full breakfast time. It looked like they were preparing a Mexican breakfast, and it looked great! I wish we could have stayed to try it. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay there again when we are in the area.

I spent two weeks here for work. The friendliness of the staff from the moment I checked in until I checked out was top notch. The hotel was clean and inviting and I think situated in a really great spot in the back corner of the plaza. They have an onsite laundry that was super convenient for me. I have to give a massive shout out to housekeeping! They really helped my stay be incredibly enjoyable by making sure I had a nice and tidy room to come back to every day. I enjoyed breakfast at the hotel a few mornings while I was there and the menu was consistent with what you’d expect from a general hotel experience. I will add that the ladies in the kitchen were very friendly and it made a nice start to my morning. I particularly enjoyed having breakfast on the patio surrounded by the lush garden.

The only (minor) complaints I have is the bed frame that was in my room and how loud the doors were in the hallway when they would shut. (Other guests could be a bit more mindful of not letting the doors slam.) The bed frame would make the most annoying noises over the slightest movement, but it didn’t prevent me from having a restful night.

Thanks to the Ayres staff for making my two weeks away from home enjoyable and stress free!

I stay at hotels 2 to 3 weeks a month. This this hotel is up and beyond the rooms were perfect up-to-date. Modern everything worked. The people were friendly. The beds were the most comfortable beds ever even the pillows were great. The rooms were clean daily. The employees were friendly. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel, it would be hard to find a better hotel anywhere in the area! The rooms were quiet and everything in the room worked!

Our Chino Hills stay was great at the Ayres Hotel! The room and overall appearance of the hotel was very clean. The atmosphere was relaxed and every staff member we came in contact with was friendly. There was a wide variety of options for breakfast food in a nice indoor area that led to a beautiful courtyard.
No complaints at all and will definitely book here again!

I travel a lot for business and have stayed in a lot of nice hotels. I discovered the Ayres Hotel in Chino Hills when the devastating fires in S Cal filled my regular Hyatt Irvine, or the older Newport Hyatt. I moved closer to my client in Yorba Linda. I have now stayed at the Ayres five weeks (visit for business every other week). I find it refreshingly high quality (tiled bathroom, ac that will cool all night, fixtures, mattress, etc), and spotlessly clean. And, the value is excellent coming in at roughly $150 per night compared to $300-400 per night for the Hyatt.

A very comfortable casual hotel. Our room was quite large with ample closet and drawers. We were happily surprised that there was a refrigerator/freezer. The microwave was also a plus.
Good hot breakfast offerings with the addition of a chef making omelettes on the days we were there.

Checked in on time yet I had to wait 30-45 additional minutes in the lobby with all of my belongings on a cart. Was told that the night before (which was Valentines) it was so busy (hotel should've prepared for the expected). My thoughts were should have had adequate staff available to clean rooms since Valentines is a known busy time for lodging (especially on a Friday night). Nevertheless, manager magically "found" me a room on freeway side (loud). But room was nice (King Suite) however a little dusty (I typically do my own light cleaning ahead of using facilities in these types of establishments). Also didn't see anyone cleaning other rooms...so why the wait again? To top off the night we came back to our room after our event around midnight and the A/C never shut off. It was low to mid 40's outside so room was super freezing. Called front desk says he couldn't come to the room until 20 minutes. He couldn't instruct us over the phone how to adjust the thermostat in their facility. So st the end of the back snd forth over the phone he asked us to move rooms instead. A two Queen versus the King we booked and paid (was supposed to reimburse the difference- still waiting). Rooms at the Anaheim location were better kept, cleaner, and staff was much nicer I thought they were all the same. Staff made me feel like I was a bother to complain but not taking into consideration that my plans were messed up from the time that I walked into the door. The room was not available although I booked it a week ago. Patrons should never suffer because of inadequate staffing issues. Never going to this location again. It put a damper on our late Valentines celebration. Reimbursement is fine but the mood was ruined. STILL NO REIMBURSEMENT.

Overall experience was great and I would stay again. However, though the bed was comfortable, it would make a loud metallic banging noise when first sitting on the bed. Besides that all was good.
