If you're looking for something affordable and comfortable, this will do the job. It's not a flashy or upscale place; it's rather retro, really. The beds are quite comfortable, and the rooms are spacious. The windows in the room actually open so you can get some fresh air, especially in the bathroom after a shower. It's no Marriott, so if you're looking for luxury, this isn't it, otherwise it's a pretty decent place to stay.

Easy to find, right off the freeway but do not let the location scare you away. I had a room on the second floor, and could easily see my car. The room is not fancy, but it was clean and comfortable. I was surprised by a simple grab and go breakfast. The coffee was fresh and hot, and an apple and muffin were all I needed. There is also breakfast cereal available. The desk staff is friendly and professional. Again, don't expect fancy for a discount motel, but clean, quiet, and comfortable are big hits with me, and I felt safe.

I was a bit disappointed in the room. We reserved the "family" room since it was spacious but only one of the time had a working AC unit. The room was also a bit sorry and the entrance way smelled like urine. The workers at the hotel were very polite and professional.

This place is a total dump. It's dirty, smelly, rundown and outright dangerous.

After staying here it seems clear that any of the 5 star reviews are fake or paid for. I wish I had checked Yelp before booking.

The neighborhood feels sketchy but worse the building itself is hazardous. I'm a trained building inspector and found evidence of potential active leaks which causes harmful mold to grow and unpleasant odors in the room. Beyond that I noticed that the electrical panel in the room is an outdated recalled panel that can pose a serious fire risk.

The bed was also tacod and uncomfortable and the paper thin walls/ceiling allow you to hear all the shenanigans of the other rather colorful inhabitants who were quite active until around 4am.

The front desk guy (I'm assuming the owner) is shady as can be, requiring pet fees be paid by cash only, a practice I've never seen at any other hotel... Ever. And he doesn't honor the fact that the pet fees were already paid when booking the room.

I complained to Sonesta about it and they agreed that the cash only policy is abnormal so they are going to be looking deeper into this concern. And they (Sonesta) changed the price of the overall stay on their end to remove their pet fees, but upon checking my credit card history I found that he gave me a receipt showing the adjusted price, but he still wound up charging the full price which means we double paid for the pet fee.
We're not talking large amounts of cash since we only stayed one night, but it's not the money that bothers me, it's how poorly maintained, dishonest and crooked the establishment is run.

Lastly, the breakfast offered is a joke. With Twinkies, pop tarts and old damaged fruit and literally spoiled milk for the cereal.

Don't Stay Here!! But if you want to try and save a buck check the reviews on Yelp first, I wish I had before we booked it, they appear to be more accurate and not bloated with a bunch of fake and dishonest reviews.

UPDATE: they responded that credit card adjustments can take some time to come through... I checked my statement, no refund was issued for the double payment of pet fees. They do a good job of responding to your negative review as if they are going to make it right... But it is a falsehood, they have not made good on anything.

My stay at the hotel was truly enjoyable and exceeded our expectations in many ways. The room was nicely decorated and very comfortable, providing a perfect place to rest after a long day. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The breakfast was great making it a great start to each day. We particularly appreciated the fresh fruits and pastries available. The hotel's cleanliness was also noteworthy, with our room being spotless and well-maintained throughout our stay. Additionally, the hotel had ample parking space, which was very convenient for us as we had a car. The location of the hotel was also ideal, close to many local attractions and amenities. Overall, we would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We look forward to returning in the future.

The service was terrible and communication was a challenge. This was the only place in our budget that accepted dogs and had a smoking room, and aside from the safety concerns, I guess it wasn't the worst. I wouldn't stay here if you have another option though.
