Took the dogs for a walk by the lake. It is so blue, peaceful, and enjoyable. Lots of parents take their kids to fish along the edge. The Discovery Center is so well kept and interesting. We took the dogs under the center as it offers good opportunities for photos without being in the way. Plan to return tomorrow with our grandson to do some fishing. Recommend the area for a great experience.

This discovery center provides a lot of information about the lake's ecosystem and wildlife. There is a deck with a fantastic view of the lake and a cute outdoor playground. The center also has a few snakes 🐍 and reptiles, including a rattlesnake!

Excellent!! Lots of history and info on dessert inhabitants.
There's a large balcony to take in the views. The host was very friendly and welcoming. Restrooms are just outside in a separate building and are very clean and stocked.

Lots of history about Lake Pleasant in the building, and there is a lake view of the dam and the other lakes next to it and islands there’s even a long wide map to even show what they are what the islands and lakes are and what the dam is called and there’s also some stuffy’s and small mini building projects of different animals you could get and and there is stuffy’s from wild Republic too

It’s above the lake, so it’s a nice overlook.

Lots of good information about the park, lake, and animals. They have a rattlesnake and a Gila monster with helpful facts and tips for encounters.

If you’re there on the weekend, the naturalist used to be a science teacher and is wonderful to talk to.

There’s a nice play area for kids.

Great place for a day trip or a weekend camp out/hike. Look out for turtles and mules on the road. Take pictures, but don't feed them!
Go see the Interpretive Center, call for hours first.

The Lake Pleasant Discovery Center is an awesome place to come learn about the history of Lake Pleasant. It’s great for kids too because they can earn a Jr Park Ranger badge by completing the program. We spent a few hours here in January playing at the playground, hiking around, picnicking, and exploring the discovery center.
