Good views over the Mogollón Rim. Picnic area and vault bathrooms. The sign says no overnight parking. I've never seen the actual visited center building open so I can't say how good that is. I think it's closed from after labor day till memorial Day. At the east side of the parking lot is Old Rim Rd (fr171) and within 1/2 mile are 4 or 5 picnic areas with built in grills overlooking the rim with great views. Be aware of fire restrictions if you plan to grill.

Excellent place to stop and stretch your legs - the restrooms are not regularly maintained so they tend to be a little gross but still usable if you hover. Definitely double check to make sure there is toilet paper before you sit down.
Gorgeous views.

Nice little rest stop with an informative visitor's center and viewpoint of the rim area. The staff was friendly and helpful. Inside the center are realistic looking animals, including a bear and a skunk. A few items are available for purchase, including maps. Plenty of parking, including long, angled spaces for campers/RVs. The view from the walkway behind the center is pretty amazing, so don't miss it when you stop!

Beautiful views of the rim and cliffs with plenty of short-term parking for both cars and RVs. The Visitor Center has a limited selection of souvenirs and a small exhibit with educational material about the rim and the wildlife that can be found in the area. The rangers also have maps and can offer advice on where to go and what to see in the area. There's a small viewing platform behind the Visitor Center where you can look down into the valley. They have vault toilets available on site, but the toilets are only open when the Visitor Center is open.

This is an awesome stop any time you are up on the rim. It's located across the 260 from the Rim Rd and the entrance to Woods Canyon Lake, among others.
This is a very educational experience. They even have a stuffed bear!! The staff is very knowledgeable about the Tonto National Forest. There are several displays to look at, and feel free to ask questions! They have an observation deck out back with some spectacular views you have to see!
Highly recommended

Rangers were really helpful and advised us against routes our vehicle wasn't suited for. Bought a map there. The trail along the rim was great off of FR-300 Rim Road.

7,200 feet! Nice view of a large chunk of Ponderosa Pine Forest, and the back side of Four Peaks.
Very educational displays for conservation - that's don't litter for you young folks - and good education of animals in the area, with some fine dung examples so you know what is in the area!
Staff is friendly as heck.
Clean and ample facilities as well. Stop and say hi!

Wow! After camping at our favorite camping site, Aspen camp grounds, the last evening they had an amazing group gathering, an hour of educating the families on forest safety, fire safety, wild life safety! So NO FEEDING WILD LIFE! It messes with the circle of life!

Well, we stopped by on the way back home and stopped at the visitors center where our little gal a proud girl Scout wanted to be swan in to receive a forest safety certification and badge! Momma and Dadda so proud and we had a little refresher course to. 😊👉💯🌅

It’s more than moments and memories on this one, it’s education to our younger generation, and a reminder to us adults, life is a balance, be the peace the world deserves and enjoy the peace while you share and educate others!

What’s your “ Planet 🌎 B”

Thank you to all that work at this amazing visitors center and the other forestry service workers working so hard to keep our planet, clean and healthy. Our family truly appreciates you all and enjoys every opportunity to go camping with Mother Nature and tries to always help out. Don’t stop being an ambassador to Mother Nature, she’s watching. 😉🌅🎁🌬️
