My husband and I just went on a sunrise balloon ride this weekend and we had a blast. It seems we got delayed just a bit but to be expected because it’s dependent on weather. So beautiful, we felt very safe the whole time. We were in a smaller basket so it was us and one other couple and they were so sweet and so fun to talk to. We really enjoyed the entire experience.

I went with some friends on a girls trip & our experience was excellent! Our pilot, Shane was informative & smoothly maneuvered our balloon through/around the mountains was impressive. He took the time to explain some of the area's unique features, as well as make our group laugh along the way.
I thoroughly enjoyed the history on ballooning once we were back on the ground leading up to the the Sunrise Toast.
10/10 would absolutely go again!!

This was a great experience! We were one of the last sunset flights due to the volatility of the winds in the spring. We went to 4 different locations trying to launch. Shane and his crew were all about safety first... Thank you! Shane didn't joke around as much as some of the other reviewers mention but he explained that due to the winds he was very focused on flying and we all concurred. Afterwards, Shane laid out champagne as well as some non-alcoholic drinks for everyone while the crew got the balloon put away. People don't forget to tip! I would definitely do this again!! A great time was had by all!

1 Star – Disorganized, Unprofessional, and Completely Disappointing

We booked a 4:30 AM hot air balloon ride with Aerogelic Ballooning. We woke up at 2:00 AM and drove nearly 2 hours to the meeting point — a Starbucks parking lot in Phoenix — only to discover they'd given us the wrong address. The location they sent didn’t even lead to a Starbucks. After some effort, we found the correct spot ourselves and still arrived 15 minutes early, with enough time to grab coffee and breakfast.

We saw a white van with the Aerogelic name on it and approached. No one greeted us. We were just asked for our last names and told to sign a waiver with our names, signatures, and dates. The interaction felt rushed and unfriendly. After we signed, we were simply told, “Feel free to go back to your guy’s car and wait,” so we did.

Then we saw two girls approach the van but walk away without signing anything. Literally 15 seconds later, someone from the company came to our car and told us, “Due to not everyone showing up, we have to cancel the flight.” We asked if there were any alternatives, and were met with a flat-out no.

Apparently, they require 15 people for the balloon to take off. Shortly after they told us it was canceled, a family of five arrived and approached the van. We, a group of five friends, plus the new family would’ve made 10 people. We rolled our window down again, hoping plans might resume — but the staff told the family they were too late, and that the other van (which we had no clue was even a thing) was already turning around.

Here’s the kicker: they gave us the wrong address, and now were blaming lateness for the cancellation. They didn’t even wait.

A few minutes later, as we sat in the lot trying to figure out what to do with our ruined morning, a stressed older man pulled up and hurried over to us. He asked if we were the hot air balloon group. We had to break it to him that they’d already left. He told us he’d spent 20 minutes driving in circles trying to find the correct place — again, due to the wrong address. He seemed incredibly kind and genuinely disappointed. He would have made the 15th person.

Still trying to salvage the day, we went for a hike and grabbed food. Then we drove to the company’s listed office address to try and get a refund. But when we got there, we were shocked. The place looked sketchy and belonged to a landscaping company. We entered anyway, thinking it might be a shared space. When we talked to some friendly workers there, they told us Aerogelic Ballooning hasn’t had an office there in years.

We called the phone number they gave us — three times, no answer. When they finally called back, they didn’t apologize, offer real compensation, or take responsibility. Instead, they gave us five $10-off coupons for another ride — after they had wasted our time, energy, and trust.

Unacceptable. Disorganized, misleading, and disrespectful. I cannot recommend this company to anyone. Book elsewhere — and save yourself the disappointment.

Just finished my first rainbow riders experience and it definitely won’t be my last. Jon was the best pilot ever and the entire crew was efficient, polite, and well trained. The ride offered beautiful views and I felt safe secure and entertained the entire ride. I also loved the champagne toast after and they even took pictures of our group. This is the perfect event for small or large groups for celebrations or just a romantic date day activity. Will definitely be back! If I could

First and foremost I want to thank all of the crew members that made this such an incredible experience. Not only were they fast, friendly and safe they were informative, funny and more. Sean the pilot was fantastic. He was willing to do things other pilots would not even attempt. He made everything exciting and as terrified as I was he really made everything feel safe. Going low into the mountains close enough to see the critters on the ground. The weather was perfect . At the end Sean told us all the story about the champagne ballon flight as we all shared a glass of champagne! The glasses were gorgeous and the toast sealed the deal. This was my husband and I first wedding anniversary and it was everything and some. I can't brag enough, I'm still smiling from ear to ear and my husband hasn't stopped talking about finally checking this off our bucket list! Thank you thank you every single person involved!

There are no words explaining how amazing this adventure was!! Scary at first, but Shane is very talented and experienced. Love his sense of humor and attitude towards all of us. As well as his super sweet and helpful crew! Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a new experience!

Absolutely breathtaking views, smooth piloting with lots of information about the balloon, the sites, the vegetation, winds, distances and heights. You could feel his passion for what he was doing, this was not just a "tour". The "Balloonists Toast" when we landed was the cherry on top of a wonderful adventure.
