This was a sweet museum to spend a few hours exploring. I went on a weekend afternoon and it wasn’t crowded at all. I was able to get in quickly and take my time walking through. I was hoping to see a garden but there wasn’t much of one which was fine since the museum was so interesting.

I wish I could've gave this museum 5 stars. However, some of the staff members are too unprofessional and don't respect veterans. I came to visit from out of state and was looking forward to taking my family here, but the lady at the front desk didn't make me feel welcomed (I had to greet her first even though I'm a customer). She kept giving strange faces when I asked questions about the museum. The most troubling thing is that she didn't even know the procedures with veterans. The museum is under the Blue Star Museum program which let veterans enter for free, like is the case with all museums listed under the Blue Star Museums program. I never had this issue with any other museum and I've visited plenty in my life. She seemed like she wanted to argue when I mentioned it and said it'll be free Memorial day, which isn't the case whatsoever. She didn't even know how to put in a free admissions and asked a coworker how to do it that didn't even know how to do it as well. I'd hate to think that it was racial or biased behavior personally towards me since I've only experienced this level of ignorance while visiting this state which is a horrible experience.. I eventually paid for me and my whole family since it's obvious the staff members aren't aware of their own policies.

Tickets for the museum can be purchased separately or together and for $18 per adult you can go to the natural history muesum, world history museum, and botanical garden. I am so amazed by some of the pieces in each museum and they are authentic too. The natural history museum also has a kid friendly room and has many sensory areas throughout to touch or play animal sounds. Definitely autistic friendly as well.

This museum shows various animal and bird species. There are also rooms simulating a cave experience and another great room explaining weather and other scientific phenomena. It is aimed for kids but is informative for all.

This is our second year with a family year pass and we take our kids at least once a week! They love it. Gift shop is very reasonable and lots of activities to join. Great place especially for our homeschooling kids!

I love going to different museums so when I heard about this place I knew I had to stop by. Man, this museum is HUGE and it's pretty cheap to get in. It took me a few hours to get through everything and the amount of items they have in their collection is astonishing! There are SO many pieces on display but the ones I thought were the craziest were the rhinos and the polar bear, so crazy to see those bodies up close. The best area in my opinion is the Africa room. I wish there were more signs to go over where the collections came from, maybe some information on the animal in general so we're learning and not just staring at taxidermy, but overall the place is pretty cool to check out. I got lucky and when I went I was literally the only visitor in the whole museum, a little creepy lol but pretty cool to take my time and get through everything. I definitely recommend stopping by!

This place is honestly wicked cool! My wife and I took our two year old to do something as a family. I didn’t expect all the giant animals as well as a cave! So worth the $8 per a person. Definitely coming back in the future when the little one can enjoy it a bit more!
