The BJCC concert hall in Birmingham was a great space for an event. Went to see Les Miserables on a whim and sat in back of the Orchestra section but was still a good view. Enter the theater based on the portal number. Lots of vendors selling candy and snacks and alcohol but be ready to pay for it. Seats were comfortable and was easy in and easy out.

Great concert , or event venue in Birmingham! We attended the Jim Gaffigan comedy performance tonight! Great seating, even being high up, and plenty of vending, clean facilities and ample parking nearby!

If i could do 0 stars i would. This place has the absolute WORST staff I've ever encountered at a venue. A day that should have been happiness bc of my son's graduation wasn't. I've NEVER experienced the racism that my family and I did today. We had 12 people in our group. We went and found our place and put our booklets down, 8 of us sat down the rest of us went to the restroom. I was gone a couple of minutes when I got a phone call saying a worker placed 2 people in our seats and accused us of saving seats. She was a light skinned old black with short curly black hair (she refused to give her name and turned her badge). I went and got security and another light skinned lady with a short black bob cut from the entrance door called herself going to settle the issue. Well she made it worst. She had the NERVE to accuse me of being a liar bc my sister and nephew took more than 4 minutes in the bathroom. Little did she know the staff outside the door forced them to the balcony and refused to let them come to their seats. Then came along a white woman that I don't remember her name just know she had something wrong with her eye with more sheriff's to "solve" the problem but didn't. She was extremely rude also. All 3 talked to me and treated me like I was dirt. As soon as they still refused to make those people move i showed them how people in front of us were saving seats along with oh about 5 other families. The white woman said I don't care get away from me and go enjoy your graduate before I put you out. We were the ONLY white people in this whole area and were the ONLY ones the staff told people to move our booklets and sit in our seats. For the first 20 minutes people were constantly walking in sitting down with their families that "saved" their seats didn't have anything said to them. My problem never got resolved i was just threatened by multiple staff members. After the ceremony started and my son walked the stage his dad walked out bc of people around him harassing my family. As he was walking out the rude curly headed black lady had the nerve to be standing outside the doors running her mouth about me to another employee. She didn't know that he was part of our family bc he is black. She was telling her coworker that it took all she could to not snap on me bc her boss was around. She didn't have a problem doing it until I went and got someone. That woman needs to be fired. She should never work with the public. If she would have waited 5 minutes or less she would have saw we weren't lying. Unfortunately I had to leave my sister and run back in then try to find security all while my sister was being refused to get back to her seat and told go to the balcony. I will be checking and seeing what can be done for our complete and utter embarrassment and racism we encountered. I will NEVER spend another dollar at this horrible place and will make sure to let everyone i know to stay away. This post won't be the end.

Whoever designed this seating map shouldn’t be allowed to design things. They cram you in like sardines and don’t care if you have a crappy view or not.

The SCAM of making you rent a locker for $20 for your purse is robbery and no one else does this. Normally they just look inside your bag. They also KEEP your key, so God knows who is going through your property.

Coming here is never as nice as it should be. πŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘Ž

I absolutely loved seeing The Nutcracker by the Alabama Ballet at the BJCC Concert Hall! The performance was stunning, and the venue provided the perfect setting for such a beautiful show. The dancers were incredible, and the entire production was mesmerizing. I’m so excited to see the direction the Alabama Ballet is heading – it’s clear they have a bright future ahead. I can’t wait to return for more performances in the future!

Watch out for purse scam. They will tell you that your purse is too large and that you have two options: walk back to your car or put it in a storage locker that costs $20. The woman did not mention that you could have your purse checked for no extra fee and bring it in.
