Tesla Supercharger - Birmingham, Alabama

Beware if you are on a road trip or driving through Alabama. This probably is NOT the charger for you. Local owners, it shouldn’t be a problem. First we m got the “Tesla” validation code from our screen. Tried to read the instructions but they are small and not clear and you can’t pause to read them when a car is behind you. We didn’t see a place to enter it when we exited. Seems we were maybe suppose to put it in when we entered the lot? Also if I remember what I was able to get from the instructions it’s only good for a hour so IDK 🤷🏽‍♀️ Shouldn’t be that complicated. Inside of a paid parking lot just isn’t an ideal place.There are plenty of restaurants to choose from but not all validate parking. So if you are using this as a “stop and eat charge” and you are in a restaurant that doesn’t validate you will have to pay for parking. Overall not terrible but definitely would not be my first choice for travel. Just adding my two cents to the pot in hopes that Tesla may see the need to make an adjustment.

Very important to read the directions in the car there is a code that allows you to get in and get out once you finish and at no charge I see a lot of people are getting restaurants to validate there's no need for that .
Just read the instructions on the car.
Just look for the supercharger on your vehicle and click on the supercharger it gives all the details along with instructions how to get in the parking

Move on. First, it's in a sketchy downtown neighborhood, blocks away from the courthouse and FBI building, with no facilities nearby.

Second, you have to pay to enter the lot, though you can get your ticket validated at nearby businesses... *if* any are open. Of course, you'd have to buy something from said business in order for your $3 ticket to be validated. Signs on every storefront say they open at 11 am, but all were closed when we tried every door at 11:10.

Sucked it up and ate the cost because we couldn't make it to a different charger. Won't be back.

$3 to park. I may use the Supercharger in Mountain Brook the next time I need to charge while passing through Birmingham. 8 stalls. Coffee shop and restruants within walking distance.

Routing didn't mention there was a $20 fee to park until I turned into the site. With only 10% left I could not have reached another location... Walked a block to the Westin to use its beautiful restroom.

$3 per hour charge to enter. The sign says validated from local amenities but the cashier at Santos said this changed in 2020. You have to pay in order to charge. There are coffee shops near by that allow you to use the bathroom. ***NO VALIDATION ***

A little tricky to find, as it's inside what looks to be a pay parking lot. Gates were open & no fee to get in/out. It's just past the pizza place in the brick building. We found a public restroom across the street (towards the Westin), close to where the new stadium is going up. Lots of places to eat but none were open when we were there this morning.... pizza place opens @11 am.

Successful charge after moving stalls. The first stall was broken and not marked, had to pay to park to enter the charging area. The weather was not good so we stayed inside the car. Skip if you can.
