It is so wonderful they moved this here in 1921, not even 60 years after the Confederacy. It looks beautiful, even at night with it lit up, I hope it is here for many more years to come so everyone can see history with their own eyes. I was here after it closed, but seeing it from the street is still amazing

This is a must visit on your journey through history. Jim the curator couldn't have been friendlier or more knowledgeable. He loves what he's doing he knows the history and shares it well. Highly recommend.

If I could give more stars I would. The First White House of the Confederacy is one of the finest museums we have been to anywhere. Beautifully preserved with wonderful artifacts displaying a brief slice of history. The staff are some of the most gracious, knowledgeable and friendly people we have had the pleasure to me. This home has mostly original furnishings and detailed descriptions of each room. A definite must see, so elegant.

Great free Museum. Unfortunately you can't get too far into the rooms due to the need to protect the artifacts. Staff knowledge and helpful.

Thoroughly enjoyable visit! I am a retired state employee and enjoyed celebrating Jefferson Davis's birthday holiday for many years! It was a pleasure visiting his historic home and learning about his life.
The staff was friendly and very informative.
