1st time there. Educational. I liked the discussion after the film and it was nice the staff asked if anyone had questions. I liked the explanations about the constellations. The staff was very knowledgeable. The kids that were there seemed to enjoy it too.

We had the awesome opportunity to see the museum and tour with a gentleman by the name of Lee. I felt somewhat knowledgeable about astronomy prior to our visit but our guide was truly brilliant and beyond knowledgeable about historical data in this field paired with so much more that myself and son learned while we were there. This was on our list for places we wanted to visit this year and we believe it may be one of the most awesome experiences we will have by far. You may want to call ahead to ensure they are taking tours that day. Some of the work and visual pieces of photography was actually generated by Lee(our guide)which was truly extraordinary given the detail and clarity of the image that captures a moment in time so far away. Our son is still speaking about how much fun it was to visit this location. Thank you so much for the incredibly awesome time and tour that made our trip Montgomery so much fun and memorable!

Great experience at the Gayle Planetarium today. Took my 2 year old granddaughter for the first time. She loved it. Lee is a phenomenal director and very knowledgeable!

Awesome experience for any age! I took my 4 year old daughter! Under 5 get in FREE! Since we were the only attendees the lady played a more age appropriate show than was scheduled just for us! After the show she guided us on a journey across the night sky, pointing out planets and constellations along the way! Will definitely be back and bringing family and friends with me! Can’t wait for the 2 Christmas shows coming up!

The staff was lovely and very sweet! Watched the lil documentary about the sun and stars, and after they had a presentation on the constellations, and since we had chatted about us being from jersey before hand they mentioned the differences in the stars that we would see farther north than here in Alabama.

Would definitely stop by for a visit the next time I'm down 😊

This is a great place to take your kids. My daughter attended several field trips here, and they have had events in the evening when there is going to be an event like a meteor shower, comet or eclipse. I have really enjoyed our visits here and it's a great learning experience. They have an auditorium with a curved ceiling where they can project the night sky and constellations. And it's nice and cool inside during the summer!
