There’s not an option for -0 so the absolute lowest star available is certainly warranted and truly deserved here. The sky high MINIMUM deposit they require for people with very good credit ($200) is expected, and due immediately at the time of new service request by them. However, when you are fortunate enough to permanently move out of this town and have their horrendous services discontinued, your said deposit of $200 is held by them until further notice, of which they can give NO definite date or answer to. Service disconnects have to be “committed” in their system, by which then they only print the checks once a month, but if that falls on any other day than a Friday, then said checks are printed “later at some other time.” I respectfully pointed out that when they charged for this deposit, it was expected by them immediately upon service request - correct? The person who I spoke with was very nice and explained their process, however, this system is extremely flawed in so many ways. As we were ending the call, I had to request that my address be taken so said check could be sent, was never asked for it, and was informed that if I didn’t receive it within “several weeks” to just call back and see what they could do. This is an absolutely absurd resolution, and should be a standard of theirs deemed unacceptable with procedures in their system revised and updated. I am a native of this town, and have the knowledge of its roots to confidently state, it’s not the same as it was some years ago. I do understand change and progress, but there are a plethora of reasons I am extremely grateful I no longer have to live there. Good luck to everyone still mulling through life there. If I ever actually receive the deposit back, the shock will be genuine.

Lovely folks in a lovely town. They helped us resolve our issues in no time.

However, beware dealing with "Miss Vicky" here. I promise you won't have a pleasant experience.

Absolutely irate Scotty price and that whole facility is absolutely trash and don’t know how to do their job i have to mange my payment time because my bill is always absolutely ridiculously high 6-1200 a month and then their meter readers fall behind so they move cut off backwards and my power bill gets cut because they can’t handle their side

The woman who answers the phone and sits at the lower window is so very rude. The lady at the other window is very sweet but unfortunately I have to deal with the other one. Being new to Alexander City, I am so disappointed in this service. They care nothing for the customer.

Don't forget when you call to have your utilities disconnected to go to office and sign that paper or you will be charged a flat fee until whenever ! Yes its true even though utilities are off you will be charged unless that paper is signed. Very poor management

Thank you Alexander City Utilities! You don't set the rates and probably don't like paying your bill anymore than I do. But...when a situation arose out of your control and mine you could not have been more HELPFUL assisting me to resolve it. How fortunate we are to have you. Thank you.

Terrible power company, if the wind blows to hard the power goes out. If it’s to cold the power goes out. If it’s to hot the power goes out. If it’s to rainy the power goes out. If I even think about my power going out, it goes out. It is by far the worst power company u can get in the United States. I wish I could rate it 0 stars.
