Cool place to chill out. Some were grabbing oysters and others walking the dog. Watch the pelicans dive in the water. Just chill kind of place.

Nice place, we tyed up here during a storm on our way back to Jacksonville. Not much to do without a car or bike, some restaurants are about 1 mile away with really good food.

My daughter's first trip to Bayou la Batre and we had to bring her by here, she loved seeing all the shrimp boats and the two big paddle boats being refurbished.

I like this area for multiple reasons. 1- I grew up here, my dad owned a bait shop here many years ago in the late 80's-early 90's, called Eddie's Bait Shop. Good Times! 2- Its The prefect spot to launch your boat. However, recently the boat launch is closed off but now the kids are able to jump off the pier and swim over to the little beach area, whereas before they could not bc of all the boat traffic. And that was my #3 reason. Plus, we always see someone we know. Great times for the kids. Swimming, fishing, throwing cast nets, even kayaking!

It is an amazing place but city is not putting any money to it. It's sad to have a beautiful place like the bayou and it's left as a dump.
