I have had an ongoing billing dispute with The Hotel Telluride for the last 3 months. I was wrongly billed $4998.65 and have gotten zero follow up or engagement from the management group of The Hotel Telluride. I am pursuing a refund via small claims court. I am very disappointed with the response from the managers of The Hotel Telluride and I have reached out directly to Providence Hospitality Partners.

Review of Winter Park Mountain Lodge which is operated by Providence…..

Overall property - total neglect on the part of managers/owners. No investment in upkeep of property or rooms. It looked like they’d fired the maintenance staff ten years ago. Obvious there is no training or supervision of housekeeping staff or checks of rooms by supervisor before releasing them for guest check in.

Rooms - Furnishings were old and soiled, curtains had holes in them, mattresses needed replacement years ago, linens were paper thin, light cover missing in bathroom, window moisture seals were broken with windows fogged (the whole hotel), no toilet lid, and the list goes on…..

Totally obvious that staff had no training or supervision. Nice folks but unable to make any processes work effectively to care for guests.

A very sad state of affairs and bad experience. When I investigated the management / operations I saw that the management is Providence Hospitality Partners that advertises on it’s website that it does “receiverships” and takes over management of distressed (bankrupt) facilities which explains why they are milking the last few dollars out of this milk cow before shutting it down.

Also explains why the Choice hotels reservation line said it wasn’t their property and they could not make a reservation and we had to dial the front desk directly to reserve a room.

Really a sad state of affairs - don’t let them rip you off like they did us!
