Cherry Hills Assisted Living and Memory Care has been a wonderful place for our loved one. The staff is warm, attentive, and truly cares for each resident, creating a safe and welcoming environment. The facility is clean, thoughtfully designed, and well-managed, providing both comfort and stability. Even the meals are excellent, showing the same level of care that goes into everything they do.

The staff is both skilled and genuinely caring, ensuring that every resident's needs are met with respect and kindness. Katharine Johnson in particular is stellar! Their professionalism and dedication create a comfortable and supportive environment for everyone. The place is well-maintained and welcoming, it has a peaceful atmosphere but I appreciate that there’s a lot of social interaction. The meals I’ve seen were nutritious and well-prepared, and everyone clearly enjoyed their food. Overall, I’d say this is an excellent choice for those seeking high-quality care in a nurturing and supportive setting.

After considering at least ten senior living options in and around Denver, Cherry Hills Assisted Living (CHAL) stood out as the clear choice for our family. Since moving in, my mother has quickly become engaged in the community—participating in exercise classes, enjoying meals with new friends in the beautiful dining room, attending parties with live music in the bistro, going on lunch outings, and relaxing with nightly movies and popcorn.

With on-site physical and occupational therapy, she’s receiving the care she needs, and we have complete confidence in the dedicated staff. Special thanks to Katharine Johnson and Michele Farrelly for their guidance during the transition, to Trish Dunbar for ensuring my mother feels welcome and involved, and to Adam Dodd for overseeing her level of care.

We recently moved my mother from a very prominent assisted living facility in downtown Denver to CHAL. I did not realize until after the move, that my mother is now receiving the care and room cleanliness that she deserves. Cherry Hills does a really nice job. The community does not feel like a "facility", but rather a "community" where residents are thriving. It’s hard to put into words how much Cherry Hills Assisted Living means to our family! After an Alzheimer’s diagnosis two years ago, we set out to try to find the very best place for our family member. We talked with, and toured, every well-rated facility in south Denver.

From the very beginning, Cherry Hills stood out as so much different (better) than anywhere else. Not only is the facility clean, beautiful and full of light, but the residents seemed truly happy and engaged, especially the memory care residents (which sadly we discovered is unusual).

Michele spent so much time with us at the beginning, answering questions and helping us understand what the process could look like as we moved forward. We made the decision to get on the waiting list at Cherry Hills and when things starting getting more difficult at home, we reached back out to Michele. She is amazing! She listened so kindly and asked really good questions, ultimately advising us that it sounded like the right time to make the move. We confirmed her recommendation with our doctor and Michele scheduled a home visit with Jen, one of the fantastic Cherry Hills staff nurses to help us determine if it was the right time to move and what kind of care would be needed. She was so kind and really took the time to get to know our family member. Her knowledge and experience were so valuable to us as we finalized the decision to make the move.

Once the decision to move forward was made, both Michele and Katherine were unbelievable in how much time, help, and advice they gave us as we figured out the logistics of the move.

Moving a loved one into assisted living or memory care is exhausting and stressful. When I was at Cherry Hills meeting furniture deliveries or dropping things off prior to the move, Michele and Katherine would see me and give me a big hug and ask how we were doing and what they could do to help. We felt so seen, cared about and supported! Even before the move, they already felt like family and Cherry Hills felt like home.

In the back of my mind, I kind of kept thinking that it wasn’t possible for this place to be as good as it seemed and hoping that we didn’t find it was different after move-in. Nothing could be further from our experience. When we arrived on move-in day, the Executive Director, Michele, Katherine, Jen and Adam, the staff nurses, were all waiting at the front to greet us. They walked us to the apartment and gave our family member a sweet gift along with a card that had personal notes from each of the key staff welcoming them and saying that they were looking forward to getting to know them.

That first day we were having trouble getting the tv to connect to Comcast (after the maintenance staff had already hung the tv and set everything up for us in advance) and Michele literally spent 30 minutes talking to Comcast and figuring out the setting on this specific tv that needed to be adjusted in order to work. They just go so far above and beyond. And I understand now that what makes it such a special place is that everyone there genuinely and deeply cares about the residents and their families. I think for all of them, it is much more than a job and it has made us feel like family.

My family member has now been at Cherry Hills for almost a month and we feel so blessed every day by how they have helped them feel at home, the way they’ve answered our questions and helped to smooth out a difficult process. Even after only a week of being at Cherry Hills all the staff from the front desk, to the restaurant, activities and care staff knew our family member’s name and would go out of their way to say hello and ask if they needed anything.

If you are looking for a special place for your loved one, we can’t recommend Cherry Hills Assisted Living enough. It truly stands apart from everything else!
