This is one of the 3 Camden Expedition state parks. There was a nice trail of about 1/3 mile. It was an all-natural trail, no gravel or concrete. There was a slight incline and stairs at one part, but a very easy walk otherwise. Part of it ran alongside a little creek which came from Poison Spring. There's also a nice picnic area. This is an unmanned park with no overnight camping.

Interesting and beautiful park. Very quiet and relaxing considering the violence that took place here. Wish there was a restroom, at least a portapotty type building like we saw all along our trip out west.

This was a great place to stop and get out to stretch our legs on the road. The history was very interesting and we loved the short nature trail that followed the spring.

Plenty of details about the battle that took place there. Was late in the afternoon when I visited so I opted not to walk the nature trail. Paved parking. Well lit. No facilities.

With seeing and worth reading all the information. Don't forget a pencil to get you park stamp. You have to emboss it onto your book.

Cute out-of-the-way spot. The trail is short but beautiful. It's a fairly easy hike and is perfect for a family expedition. There's plenty of picnic tables and parking.
