Wonderful experience with Hidden Dagger for our group hiking adventure. Great knowledgeable guides, all arrangements worked so well. We did varied hikes in park, with educational aspect, worked for varied ages, abilities and interests. Wonderful Big Bend experience.

I decided to visit Big Bend NP after hearing from two friends. I wanted to hike during the winter somewhere warm. Coincidentally I received the RS catalogue and saw this hike. No other expectations.I was mistaken about the weather but not about my trip to Big Bend. What I found was a superb experience hosted by Tara and Joe making us feel part of their families. While the weather was anything but warm, the scenery, the friends I made more than made up for the chilly weather The scale of the park and the various rock formations were beyond anything I expected or had ever seen. I loved the hikes. Learning about the shaping of the landscape, the many creatures that lived in the area. The hikes were just the right mix of distance and elevation with outstanding views all around. The two hosts were gracious, generous, and good cooks! And so knowledgeable about everything from geology, paleontology, and plants to the histories of the locals including native Americans. It was an added treat that Tara and her family had been in the area for 7+ generations. Her intimate knowledge of the area and willingness to share added to the experience of our tour of Big Bend. I would strongly recommend this tour company to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience. I have not stopped talking about this trip since I returned home!

I recently had the pleasure of taking a three-day canoe trip with Hidden Dagger, and it was an incredible experience. They handled every detail, making the trip effortless for us.

The food prepared on a camping stove was exceptional, surpassing the quality of most restaurants. Be sure to ask them to make their curry—it was truly outstanding.

Tara made the planning process seamless, and Sam, Mike, and Andrew were the best guides I could have asked for. I feel as though I have made lifelong friends with each of them. They worked tirelessly to ensure our experience was relaxing and enjoyable, and they succeeded.

Hiring HDA was hands down, absolutely the best thing to do for our girls trip in Big Bend.
Not only was Tara extremely professional, conversational, and completely well versed in the layout of the park, but also a bottomless well of useful information regarding Big Bends history. As clearly one should in her position.
The lunch was light, BLT wraps, chips, veggies and hummus. Her homemade ranch was a tasty
addition as well!
She made the trip over all much more enjoyable, felt like hiking with a girlfriend.

Our group of five used Hidden Dagger Adventures to explore Big Bend for a day. As all of us were over 60, we asked our guide, Joe, to show us easily accessible sites. He provided many historical and geological facts as he took us up into the Chisos Mountains and down a trail at Santa Elena Canyon. We were introduced to local plant and animal life, too.
