Room and staff were good.Unfortunately the breakfast menu was unusually poor compared to the two previous stays I had at other Holiday Inn Express that charged $40 LESS per night. The pancake machine and the hot oatmeal were on the counter but were not available. Why? Also there was no fresh fruit available and very little choices of yogurt. While eating my breakfast there I never saw an attendant come out once to check on anything (In the Sioux Falls hotel there was an attendant on the floor all the time checking on everything, wiping down the counter, etc.) For what this hotel was charging a night I certainly did not feel like I got my moneys worth.

This hotel is an excellent place to stay in a very small town with limited options for hotels. The rooms are sparkling clean and fresh with amazing mattresses to enjoy a good night sleep. We got a suite for the extra sitting area and we brought our dog. We felt the fee to allow her to join us was very reasonable. Breakfast was really nice. I wish they had real eggs with cheese on the side as a garnish and real salsa but other than that, biscuits were awesome and coffee fantastic. I loved the dining area and the staff was truly friendly. Will definitely stay here again.

I was hoping after the renovation, this hotel in Brady would be cleaner. As a customer, some suggestions:

*Remove the can of cigarette butts next to the bench in the covered unloading drive.

*Keep entry rugs swept. (In additional to being dirty, the same cigarette butt when I arrived Sunday afternoon was still laying on the rug Monday morning at 10:45AM.

*Have the front desk clerk wear a name badge.

*Have the lobby air on a cool setting when it's hot outside.

*Clean your water fountains.

*Wipe clean the top of the outside entryway trash can.

*Clean the underside of the commode seat.

*Vacuum the room.

*Keep coffee area wiped clean. There were several dried spatters over the coffee counter.

*Don't park the dolly cart holding a bucket of trash in the food area where customers have to walk past it.

*Remove the mold outside the bathtub.

*Take ownership in the profession you have chosen and train your staff the same way.

Thank you.

I checked in on a Thursday night the breakfast lady Friday morning was wondering smiling and happy to help and serve me with what I needed... When I woke up Saturday morning and went down for breakfast I was expecting the same friendly smile but boy was I wrong. The lady that was there Saturday and Sunday morning was rude seems to be giving me dirty looks when I ask for something. She made my morning quite ugly, and as long as she's working I'll not be having breakfast on the weekends next time I stay ... Other than that everything else was lovely the housekeepers are so sweet and nice and the front desk lady was so helpful with my stay. Forget about breakfast on the weekends 🤣🤣

I was in town for a conference and everything with the hotel itself was top-notch and very professional. Dealing with IHG corporate was horrible and I prefer not to become a higher Level member. I’m much better treated at a corporate level by other brands but this IHG HOLIDAY INN hotel itself in Brady, TX is a great place to stay and I highly recommend it and it’s staff.

I was not recognized as being a diamond elite member. I was not given my amenity points when I spoke with Isaac about this I was told they don’t do points anymore. The breakfast was supposed to be from 6:30 to 930 at 7 o’clock. There was still no breakfast. The rooms were marginally dirty. The pillars are too soft and worn out. Need to be replaced the elevator grinds barely works and has a bad smell to it at 6:30 in the morning when breakfast was supposed to be ready. There was also no coffee, which is a bad sign when a hotel does not have hot coffee in the Morning. I would never stay here again. I will pay extra to stay somewhere else or go to another town.

My husband and I arrived at approximately noon on February 8, 2025. We drove down from Dallas to deliver our son’s car to him at Goodfellow AFB. before we left our home in Dallas at approximately 5 AM, we called the hotel to ask if we could get an earlycheck in. The woman who answered the phone assured us that our room was already ready and waiting for us and that it would be no problem whatsoever to check in at noon. she said because we had a pet, they made sure that the rooms would be ready early. when we went in to check with the front desk, they told us our room was not ready, none of the rooms were ready, and that their cleaning crew hadn’t shown up that morning. We asked when our route would be ready. They said about an hour and a half. About an hour later, I went back into the front desk to see if any of the rooms were available yet, because we were literally sitting in our car with our dog waiting for our room. i’d also like to add that when we initially went to check on the room, there were 4 or 5 employees sitting and standing in the breezeway, smoking, and talking.
when I went back an hour later to check on the room there were still four or five employees standing in the breezeway, smoking and talking. One of them said hi to me as I walked into the lobby and she followed me. She got behind the desk and asked me if she could help me. I was still waiting for my room And because it had been an hour, did they have any rooms available? I told her as did my husband the first time he came in that we were told our room would be ready for earlycheck in.
The front desk person said that that person was was Night Shift and didn’t know what they were talking about. I recounted our conversation with the woman who promised us early check-in, and she said that didn’t matter that we were really supposed to check in at 3 PM. We told her that if they had any room rooms ready, we would take one of those, or. pay more to check in early. she said that we couldn’t come back for another half hour and that none of the rooms were available. I asked her how many rooms they had and she said around 68. so I asked her if they have 68 rooms and none of them Are clean, how is it possible that they would all be ready in 30 minutes? she then sarcastically said that she could give me a dirty room, and asked me if that would be OK. at this point, I asked her her name and she refused to give it to me. I told her I wanted to speak to her manager and she said she would get her. She ran outside to the breezeway where her manager, who was one of the people standing there talking and smoking and excitedly begin telling her what I had asked.
I say excitedly because she was agitated Asked her her name and asked for the manager was gesturing to me with her manager through the glass. her manager immediately came in with her and started telling me that I was not allowed to talk to her employees that way, and that she was canceling my reservation and told me to leave premises or she would call the police. I told her that she was more than welcome to call the police As I had done nothing wrong in asking her for her name. My reservation was prepaid and I found her behavior completely unprofessional verbally assaultive. they told me once again to leave so I went outside to wait for the police and tell my husband what happened. if you record the front desk, I recommend you review the tape from that date and time. neither the manager nor the front desk assistant would give me their name or corporate information of the owner. When Brady police Officer Zapata arrived, he went spoke to my husband and my husband told him what happened. The manager was standing in the breezeway when officers Zapata arrived and simply told him she wanted us off the property. She didn’t give him a reason, just told him we needed to leave. officer Zapata recommended we call Holiday Inn express, corporate, and file a complaint, also to call Priceline to get a refund.
I believe the root cause at the heart of this issue is mismanagement and poor leadership.

We really like the "new Look" Brady Holiday Inn. As always, the property is neat and clean, and the rooms are very nice. The room cleanliness, good HVAC, bed, TV, and very nice tub/shower combination is delightful.
