Hotel Garza is a gem! Common spaces, including the cozy library, are beautiful and lovingly maintained. Our room was clean, comfortable, and nicely appointed. Each guest room has a unique feel, and they are all lovely. There is even a shared kitchen in the guest room hall with a refrigerator and microwave. Host and staff were friendly and welcoming. Post downtown is a fun stroll and the nearby wine bar was a great spot for an evening drink. Breakfast was delicious and my only regret was at a certain point I couldn't keep eating. A fantastic getaway.

My husband and I live in Kansas, but my family is originally from Post (Hudman & Polk). We were in town to attend the amazing play at Ragtown Gospel Theater, located in the caprock on the outskirts of Post. Two of my uncles (Chip & Glenn Polk and their families own and run the gospel theater). If you haven’t had a chance to experience Ragtown, it’s a must see if you’re in the area. You will truly be amazed and blessed by the music and performances. Since we have a 6 hour drive back home, we opted to stay at the Garza Hotel, and we were so glad we did. Beautiful old hotel, with antique furnishings. We stayed in a king room on the main floor, and it was so comfortable and cozy. We toured the library, main foyer, and the upstairs. The rooms are all beautifully decorated with different themes. We enjoyed a nice full breakfast this morning before we checked out. If you’re in or near the small town of Post, we’d highly recommend this hotel. It’s a very nice and welcoming alternative to the corporate hotel chains; and you’ll be helping to keep history alive for future generations by supporting this business.

Such a neat place! My husband and I were traveling through the area and decided to see if there was a room available for the night. So glad to have discovered this little gem in West Texas! We really enjoyed our stay and we will definitely stay there again if traveling that way. Highly recommend!

Great little gem in Post TX! I highly recommend the stay! Very historic and beautiful interior! Cozy loft library and time has stood still in the rooms and decor! If you like architecture and western historical buildings then you will love this bed and breakfast!

Pro: Neat place that's very rustic and full of charm. Decent breakfast.
Con: Place seems like it could use some repairs, sloping and very loud creaking floors, and the mattresses were very poor (pullout was very bad, main bed was like sleeping in a massive hole).
Overall, okay and would go back given the limited options available.

We have stayed here several times on vacation road trips. We like the old-hotel charm and always appreciate the clean rooms, comfortable beds, good breakfast, and friendly service.

This is the place to stay in Post! The place has been restored so nicely and it is truly sparkling clean. We loved the library with all the photos and the comfortable chairs. We stayed here on our way to and from the Dallas area to and from Ruidoso and each time it was so comfortable and relaxing. We met the owner and she is super nice and worked with us when we had a weather issue when attempting to leave Ruidoso. We stayed in the Centennial Suite. The bed was wonderful and we loved the sitting area and fireplace. We had the cooked breakfast during our first stay and it was great. We did the continental on our second stay and it was good too. For you coffee lovers, the coffee was very good! Post is a very small little town but it was fun to walk around and look at things. We look forward to staying here again in the future!

This historic hotel was welcoming and warm. The breakfasts were amazing and we loved the homemade biscuits. We had 4 rooms and they were all amazing. My parents got the handicap accesible room and we were upstairs. Well be back again. We came for our sons graduation from Tech. It was nice to be out of the craziness of Lubbock and relax in peace and quiet.
