Photographer here! Camp Lucy is hands-down one of my favorite venues to photograph in Texas. Every corner of this property is magic, from the ceremony views at the Arch Overlook to the old world charm of Ian’s Chapel and the warm, inviting reception spaces.

I’ve photographed multiple weddings here, and every time I’m blown away by how versatile and photogenic it is. The light, the textures, the way it transitions from day to night, it’s truly a dream to work in.

I attended a wedding here in November. It was a great experience. Not an easy place to get to and not a lot of higher end hotel options so keep that in mind or have a designated driver to get you back to Austin in one piece. The outdoor service site is very intimate and beautiful with the trees & shabby chic feel. The reception building that we were in was lively. High ceilings with wood beams and romantic lighting. |Spacious for the 100 or so guests- you could fit a few more in but it wasn’t crowded. |Wish the wedding table was raised to see them easier. |Pretty drive into the camp too.

Nice getaway after the holidays. Pros - beautiful property, pool area and restaurant, comfortable Vista room, responsive staff. Short hike with an expansive view. 30 minutes from Hye and only a little further to Fredericksburg; also close to Hamilton Pool. Cons - restaurant has a very limited menu although the food was very good. Vista room is pier and beam construction and has a connecting door to the next room, so kids running around sound like elephants. Nice terrace but looks immediately onto your neighbor's terrace. Imagine the whole place would be quite noisy during busy seasons.

This place is awesome. This is the second year the company I work for has held our corporate retreat/off-site at. Camp Lucy is beautiful, well-maintained, and is just so chic. I've only ever stayed in the "Tree House" room at the back of the property, so I cannot comment on the others, but I know they are all spectacular from the talks of my coworkers. I look forward to returning with my family to eat at Tillie's, their on-site restaurant one of these days!

What a beautiful property this is and they have hosting weddings down to a science. I cannot believe we even considered the Laiken. It is so generic and soulless by comparison to Camp Lucy. If you are looking for a beautiful wedding venue, do yourself a favor and visit Camp Lucy

My recent stay at Camp Lucy was a big disappointment. The place is incredibly overpriced with numerous additional fees that keep piling up. The heating system in our room didn't work, and we had to be moved to another location, which was quite inconvenient. The attention to detail was extremely poor - there weren't even enough hangers in the closet. For the price they charge, you would expect a much higher level of service and amenities. Overall, it was a very underwhelming experience.

Camp Lucy is a dream! They thought of everything in these beautiful rooms! From extra large bath towels to wine glasses and robes. Pure comfort in the Texas Hillcountry! The property also has chickens and alpacas. You can feed the alpacas. The buildings are very old churches/townhall buildings shipped from Vietnam. Even the chicken house! Such a special place!
